@sunny: it was the wrong site. I found the right site now, but apparently they removed the recipe?? I'll type it out for you - it's not that long (and I'll get currency for it ;) )
RECIPE - Caribbean Squash and Sweet Potato Stew
3 med onions, finely sliced
1 cup water, veggie broth or balsamic vinegar
1 clove garlic, minced or pressed
1/2 teaspoon dried red pepper flakes
1/2 teaspoon ground allspice
1 16oz can of tomatoes
1 small butternut squash, peeled, seeded and cut in to small chunks
1 pound sweet potatoes, peeled and cut in to small chunks
pepper, to taste
1 16oz can of black beans, drained
parsley, for garnish
limes, for garnish (cut in to wedges)
Sautee onions in water, veggie broth or balsamic vinegar
Add other ingredients except black beans, parsley and lime. Cover & cook on medium until squash and potatoes are cooked - about 20 minutes
About 10 minutes before serving, add black beans and heat through
Serve over rice, with parsley and a squeeze of lime.

@Wildfire: It is, but I get a nasty dry patch there that's led to a kind of chronic split that I'm trying in vain to heal. :P

@sunny: oh, you're welcome <3 I mess with the specifics of ingredient quantities all the time. You could probably leave out the sweet potato and just use the squash, or use different, similar squashes to "pad it" a bit... or make it more about the black beans than the squash/potato...

The spices work well with black beans, with or without the squash. I do something similar with just beans to toss on top of rice sometimes, but the stew is really yummy... and easy, as you can see! :3 And it's nice to have a vegan meal... and a hearty stew on a rainy day!
