@Anarchist Beauty: Same here. I'm super done with this and all the new emotional baggage I have now.
Forums General Chit-Chat I think I'm melting...
@Anarchist Beauty: Same here. I'm super done with this and all the new emotional baggage I have now.
@Anarchist Beauty: I agree and it feels never ending. I feel like I don't even know what a good mental state feels like anymore.
@Anarchist Beauty: Exactly. Ugh
I was going to therapy in the before times and making good progress too
And now I feel like I don't even remember anything that happened before 2020. It's like I know there was something, a whole life's worth. But I have pandemic brain so I don't remember.
@Anarchist Beauty: Life before 2020 was just something we all dreamed up. What even is 'back to normal' anymore?
What will 2020.2 look like I wonder?
- @Totalanimefan: I am so sick of that 'back to normal' crap.
There was something fundamentally wrong with how things were before.
We should NOT want to get back to that broken crap.
We should be working on moving forward, but noooooo.
I hate everything.
I'm gonna go live in the forest, in a nice big tree.
Like those hippie chicks from Without A Paddle, if you have any idea what I'm talking about. lol
[edit] Oh my goodness I was reading responses on the wrong page, hahaha.
I don't blame you for the cynicism, and it can be kind of tough to remember the good times even though it has only been a short time in comparison. Even so, it's kind of funny how strange and foreign everything feels these days.

@blue: Our brains have learned this new reality and threw the old one away lol.
@Anarchist Beauty: I agree 110%. I don't want to go 'back to normal' either. I want us to come out on the other side of this better as a society too. At least we dumped Trump as a nation. Living in the forest sounds good. Which one are you going to pick?
- @Totalanimefan: I don't know.
I don't know which forests would be best.
I'll need one that has plenty of animals life and other foods to eat.
Something nice and pretty.
Preferably nowhere with creepy snakes and things.
Perhaps close enough to a small town, or hospital - just in case of dire emergencies.
@Anarchist Beauty: I wouldn’t pick something west of the Rockies anymore. With climate change the risk of fire is too great. :/
And maybe something with more mild winters so you don’t freeze to death. That would be good too.
@Anarchist Beauty: totally. Maybe something in the southern Appalachian mountains would be good? You would get enough rain, milder winters as long as you are south of like PA and since lots of the eastern US was settled more cars the towns tend to be closer together. So you could still live alone but there could be a hospital near by if needed.
What do you think? Lol
- @Totalanimefan: Sounds good.
Perhaps a small cabin instead of a tree, too.
Maybe the tree house for summer and the cabin for winter.
Close enough to a hospital to be safe, but far enough away that I won't ever see another human being.
Except maybe a stray hiker.
I'll give them directions back to town.
They'll have a story of this crazy, feral woman in the woods who gave them directions, and berries.
I'll be an enigma.
@Anarchist Beauty: sounds good. Remember to send me post cards from time to time about your journeys in the woods. I like the cabin idea. Near a lake? Or more secluded than that?
I'm sorry to hear about the discomfort. It's no fun to be exhausted by the heat. Please keep hydrated and add ice to your water or teas. The coolness of the drink is definitely a treat for me when I've been working in the sun all day. <3

Having you as a Voltie would be awesome.
