I keep trying to go to a local Japanese place for cheap happy hour, but my husband is always busy with work lol.

Myself and my whole group is vaxxed. I wish more Americans were vaccinated cause Delta, but I'm sure that most going to Otakon will be. We are also wearing masks the whole time too.

I'm still a little bit paranoid about it too. If I do eat inside I have my mask on the whole time except when eating. I even wear it outside if I feel like there are people near me.

I'm back from Otakon. It was amazing. EVERYONE was wearing a mask. And I can't speak for everyone at the con but my whole group was vaxxed and we also ate outside of the con center for our meals.
I'm hating that cases are going back up. Data says I'm 99.9% going to be ok. So that's good. But I really feel for the healthcare workers and people that can't get the vaccine yet. Either because of their age, or their immune system. It's not right.
I'm glad too. Our group said we wouldn't worry about it too much since we are vaxxed and we double masked. But honestly EVERYONE was wearing their mask and wearing it correctly. It was like wow, this is how it was supposed to be lol
And during the concerts they were sit down ones instead of like a get up and dance one. We saw an orchestra on Friday and then Jazz band on Sunday.
Oh no, that doesn't really seem like enough time.

That's how it is in the UK so I'm a little bit used to it, but I'm glad that it doesn't work like that in the US. I couldn't imagine the shitshow it would cause.
