i was in an apartment where pets weren't allowed but every. single.apartment . had a dog or two. big dogs. but we weren't allowed.
also since we left we've been driving by and watching him gut the apartment and use our security deposit to remodel everything in it because he didn't fix any of the plumbing while we were there when we told him it was busted. so he just decided to blame it on us and run away with our money.
i hope you get out of your bad apartment situation soon.
well it's more like the character bio didn't have enough that I'm like "yes, this would make a lovely background!" so I'm like.. *draws squares.....hates it*

Oh that's not right, but I can almost understand it. If it's the landowner's pet and property, then ultimately they are responsible for whatever damages the animals might do, but often renters don't seem to care and they definitely don't have the same vested interest in keeping things nice

the thing is he allowed all of the other apartments to have pets, but refused to even offer it to us :/ the man was a *insert expletives here that you want to fill in with because I've decided to give up talking bad about him*

I need to go figure out who this art was for again and see if they have another character that maybe tells more of the story so i can figure out what to do with this background.

i think all my life we've never lived in a good place.
bad neighborhoods and last place was the worst. like swat team was even there, chasing down a criminal.
and i had a neighbor in the building behind ours that was killed.

I've heard horror stories about landlords and that's really upsetting.
My gripe about the last place I lived--if we said we needed something fixed/looked at, the maintenance dude got to pick and choose the time he came by. Didn't matter if we were available to let him in. He'd call maybe an hour ahead of time, and that was that. I HATE having people over when I'm not home (or at least my fiance needs to be home) because I'm afraid of people stealing our shit.
It's ONE thing if it's an emergency, like flooding or fire, but if it's not? Fuck off until we're home, goddamnit. Excuse my language, but that stuff REALLY is a pet peeve of mine.

my only good landlord over the years. my parents. THANK GOD.
I've rented from them twice. xD two different houses. LOL. my childhood home when they moved to Michigan. then they sold that and moved to Maine. and now they bought this house and we're renting until we can pay off the purchase price /switch to rent to own.
Currently recovering from large amounts of PTSD. I'll post when I can, please ping for replies. Things are very difficult for me right now.
