I mean my aesthetic is like... pastel colors and giant bows and frills.
idk, i find pastel colors much easier to work with.
probably because it's more forgiving when it comes to gradual blending.

@Vixen: I get it. Yes, they are softer and have a nice look to them just on a purely aesthetic level, but technically, as you say, because they're not saturated as much as some other colors, in some ways they're more forgiving with blends, etc. Really though, as long as you as the artist are enjoying what you are doing, that's all that really matters, right? But some people don't seem to get that whole "artistic interpretation" thing (although I have yet to run in to that here)

@Wildfire: yeah having fun and at least getting something of value out of the process is what i'm looking for. i don't think i've encountered anything regarding artistic interpretation, even in most of my online presence. but i'm pretty proactive with labeling things as "what if X had a cross over with Y"
