i can imagine in some ways voltra wants to be like. a relaxing place to go for chit chat , so it’s easier to be like let’s just not open these cans of worms so we can prevent users from doubling down on bad takes lol

Somewhere in the rules is the pg13 list of forbidden topics. Like I’d love to have open conversations about sexuality, but you can’t have sex talk... it’s hard to have serious discussions about real life issues and be pg13 sometimes

Yes. I asked Fozz if I could talk about my addiction (to you know what), and asked what others though about (you know what). Forgot it was against the rules. Guess for now it’s either in dms or in a disc group for stuff like that.

i guess i usually use spoiler tags for potentially sensitive topics , it would be nice if ppl could feel comfortable talking about the real stuff we have to deal with irl and would want community or support around, or simply just being open instead of having to self censor
but yeah i can understand why they might wanna keep it in one place so ppl have more agency over whether or not to engage , and we can't always predict how people respond so it helps to be safe just in case some people don't respond well

Oh, I’m sure there is some kind of legal liability issues at play too. It’s hard to be able to restrict things to 18+ online and not have people lie and cheat to get in
