Haha, true though. My problem is I'm terrible at trying to start conversations. :P So keeping one going isn't easy.
I'm the same way. Usually I start with small talk, but sometimes find myself jumping in on other conversations since I actually have something to contribute, even if I may feel rude for butting in. xP

See that's my other problem. I kind of have to jump in, but my anxiety makes me feel like I'm being rude and intruding.

Yeah, I find it disheartening that they'll probably never get along. I'm pretty sure it has something to do with their age difference, plus I don't think either of them had much if any growing up with other cats. I sometimes wish I had cats that would cuddle and groom each other, but I love them anyway of course.
