I am so obsessive that I will use hand sanitizer AND THEN USE SOAP AND WATER. and vice versa. I know that's wasteful and borderline irrational.....but I do it anyway.

one of my ex-friends was a vet tech and she talked about all of the horror stories of abused and abandoned animals...and it just always breaks my heart.
