@CycloneKira:

Maddie blinked when he spoke, his words touching her in a place she was unfamiliar with.

Stuff and Nonsense?

Maddie slowly stood and lowered her head enough for her bangs to cover her eyes. "Don't you watch the news?" She asked quietly. It was okay if he didn't believe her, no one usually did. So why...

"It's okay.." She said quietly. "No one usually believes me until it's too late. I just don't want you to get hurt, because of me." She spoke softly before excusing herself and heading back to the bedroom, no longer intrested in desert.

Allen chuckled softly, hearing the girls. "In all honesty Miss Lilian, despite how I look I was raised by parents who lived in the past." Allen spoke with a small smile and turned his head in the direction of Adira. "It's hard to explain, but it's up to you on what to call me." He said calmly. "I don't really don't mind either way."

Maddie lowered her eyes when Ezra spoke and absently traced her fingers of her free hand over the fabric of the make-shift sling. "It wouldn't good." She murmured softly. "I'm a street rat with a bounty on my head, so to speak. Having me around wouldn't be a good idea." She murmured. "My house was a make-shift dog house I could go to, and I run a palm reading booth for a small fee of a single dollar. No one ever listens, and when I'm right they hate me for it."

Allen listened tentively as Adira spoke, asking when her and her friends could come by and if tomorrow would be alright. "Tomorrow would be fine." He spoke calmly. "Would you like me to meet you here tomorrow evening?" He asked, since he'd need to show them the way to his house.

He was eager to have guests, yet a little nervous. He knew he couldn't rush them, and he himself needed to get some things so they could have a proper dinner anyway. He'd probably just order something and have it delieved before the girls got there. But he'd need to tidy up a little, to the best of his ability of course.

Maddie couldn't help the small smirk that tugged at her lips when Ezra spoke, and Raisa seemed to dismiss the praise. She wasn't eating at a slug speed, but she was definitely savoring it as she ate, and giving her body time to process that she was a decent meal. "I look forward to getting a chance to try it someday, then." She said quietly, a little doubtful in actually getting to try it.

After she managed to finish eating the portion she'd gotten, she waited for the promised desert.

Allen chuckled quietly at Lillian's murmur, and nodded in understanding. "After meeting her aunt last night, I understand your concern. No one deserves to be treated as such." He spoke quietly.

He only took a moment to ponder the question Adira asked, and shook his head lightly. "I don't mind." He answered honestly, then sheepishly rubbed the back of his neck. "So long as you don't mind what shape the house is in." He added. It wasn't embarrassment or anything like that, it was more of he wasn't entirely sure what the girls would be walking into. He couldn't see how clean or dusty the house was, but he could imagine.

He was having guests over, something he hadn't had in quite some time, and it was sinking in that he really didn't know what the inside or outside of the manor looked like after sitting for so long.

Maddie shyly nodded when Raisa lightly protested against being called Miss, and absently ran her fingers along thr make-shift sling her other arm was resting in.

When the woman came back with the large pot of lasagna, she nodded some. "Thank you." She murmured quietly. Maddie got herself a decent portion without it being too much, since she really didn't eat much, and blinked when she took her first bite. "This is delicious, Raisa." She said woth a small smile.

Allen grew curious as he listened to her apologize for her friends eavesdropping. He shook his head lightly and offered Adira a small smile. "They sound like wonderful friends." He said calmly.

When other voices sounded, he listened as the girls intoduced themselves. Ella was first, then came Lillian. "Miss Ella, and Miss Lillian. It's a pleasure to meet you both." He said, geiunly relieved Adira had friends like them to go to. Though, he wasn't sure why.

He couldn't help the chuckle that escaped at Lillian's more direct question. "Perhaps because I address her as Miss Adira?" He said, his answer sounding more like a question in itself. It wasn't something he often thought about.

Maddie was quiet as they walked down the hall. So much was going through her mind right now, she hardly knew what to do with those thoughts.

Seeing Raisa, she nodded lightly and eased into the dining chair. "Yes, thank you Ms. Raisa." She spoke quietly. "It feels better." She offered the woman.

Allen could faintly hear the girls' voices, and bit back a chuckle. They were trying so hard to hide, he couldn't understand it. If they were her friends, why not come with her to meet him? His focus however was on Adira, hearing the cheerfulness in her voice.

When she asked if there was anything he'd like to ask her, he lightly tilted his head in the direction of her friends. "Do your friends mind coming out to meet me?" He asked quietly. "They must care a lot about you." He spoke, offering her a small smile.
