"Would you look at that?" The Card Knight closed her eyes with a GRIN, satisfied at the result of the game. "You're one lucky guy, Static. Guess I better stick to my word now, hm?"
"Oh, you will? Thank you very much," Static glanced at Frizz and they nodded to each other before he smiled at the Card Knight. "Your game was a lot of fun, but I was worried. I don't have anything I could have given you if I lost..." He frowned sincerely.
She stood upright from her knelt position in front of their playing area, and blinked twice. Was this young man really so dense? She laughed outloud, then, and shrugged. "Useless to think about now, wouldn't you say? You beat me fair and square, and your reward was to be my information. So tell me, Static," her eyes flashed as she moved uncomfortably close to him in a split second. "What do you want to know?"
The Guardian inched back with a sweatdrop, "O-oh, uhm... we're looking for our brother, and the Hostess said you could maybe help us find him-" He was cut off as the knight pressed a finger to his lips.
"You spoke with her?" Her tone was suddenly sharp, eyes narrowed.
He nodded gently and she glanced aside, breaking eye contact with him. "How is she?" Her question was a whisper, soft.
"I... think she's okay? She was singing and dancing when I saw her, but - oh!" He remembered something and smiled, "It seemed like she really wanted to see you again?"
She bowed her head slowly, "That so? Afraid it's impossible, though." Her voice cracked for a moment as she brought her gaze onto his, and the Guardian could see what may have been tears held back. "You were nice to her, yeah?"
"Of course! She was very kind to me," he nodded.
"She is..." Her voice trailed off low, "And that's why the Queen's losing her head."
"I'm sorry?"
"Forget it," she grabbed him by his shirt with a grin. "I'm going to do you a favor, Static, and lead you to the castle. There's been rumors of a figure milling about and chances are that's your boy." She glanced down at Frizz and whistled, "Come on piggy, let's go." Nodding her head in the right direction, she started pulling Static that way as he thanked her.
"I'm so happy you're going to help us, but how did you know her name earlier?"
"Oh, I've got my ways." Was her only reply.

SUMMARY
Static and Frizz have reached the Rose Garden
Property of the Queen herself, they unsurprisingly encounter a knight
This knight, however, does not seem to support her Queen
Stranger still, she's talked Static into a game where the stakes are a mystery
THE RULES
You'll be playing Blackjack and Higher or Lower with the Card Knight as your dealer! This is a group activity, too.
For both games, the values of the cards are as follows:
Any number card corresponding to their number.
Face cards (King, Queen, etc.) are valued at 10. Ace is 11.
You'll be shown two cards and have to vote Hit (get a new card) or Stay (keep your initial two).
The goal of this game is to get a value of 21 but not to go over.
Face cards (King, Queen, etc.) are valued at 10. Ace is 11.
Example: The two cards are 1 and 3. You have 4. You say Hit and you get a 10. Your total is 14.
You say Hit again, you get a 10, and you have 24. You bust (lose).
You will be shown a single card. Vote whether the next will be Higher or Lower than that card. Correct guess wins.
You have 5 minutes to vote after a card is posted. Majority vote wins.
The games will end an estimated one hour from now, but don’t worry!

Chapter Ten

Whew!
It's been a wild few weeks, and I've never felt more relief than I do right now.
Vivienne is finally back home, I'm right here with her and she's finally resting.
I can't imagine what she went through, Vontell looked so disturbed and I wanted to hear more but... I had to prioritize Vivienne's well being.
I will hear more about it later I suppose... Good thing that... that Spark guy is here? He was a little goofy?...
Well, he's a character alright!
But he's helped so much in such a small amount of time, he seems pretty powerful and I'm confident that something like this won't happen again as long as he's around.
I'm glad.
I think everyone will be cleaning up for a while, it'd be super nice if you all could offer a hand or two, but it's no problem if you can't!
I'll be here for a little while taking care of Vivienne... and hehe, she was super tired but deep down I'm hoping her words to me were real...
Vanora blushes thinking about it, she gets flustered
W-well! Nevermind that!! I'm just really happy things can return to normal now, it's been crazy lately and I appreciate everyone's help!
You're all the reason that Voltra's safe and sound now, without everyone's help we wouldn't have been able to get here now!
I will see you guys around! For now, let me go back and make sure Vivienne is resting peacefully, hopefully in a few days she can be back to her old self. Going out and about talking to you guys like always.

Currently...
Sigh, after that we’ve tried various things but still not sight of Vivienne! I’m really worried something bad
happened to her, so I’ll be going to help the guardians and maybe they’ll know what’s going on with VIvienne.
I hope she’s alright.
At least things are looking up… or maybe not. It’s hard to say… In the time that’s passed, Valentina built a battery to
help us bring the power back! And I heard she’s helping build a ball? I don’t have all the details. I do know she needs
help from everyone! So lend a hand if you’re able to…
I heard Virgil and Vregory are on it too, they probably know better? I would hope so…
But be careful out there alright? Things are also bad, I’ve heard talk of imps coming back around and causing trouble.
Vyctor seemed to be working on something about it, he might need some help. He’s a very smart guy but… well, he’s
not that crafty. I hope Velvet gives him a hand with whatever he’s doing.
Well, I better go reach the guardians now, if you guys have any questions let me know I will do my best to answer!
I know it’s a little scary, but together we’ll get through this, and we’ll find Vivi! I want more than anything to find her
and have her on my side, but becoming desperate is not an option. I did hear that Vontell’s decided to actively look

Vontell and Vanora rejoin and with a look of each other, they know there’s no good news about Vivienne.
In the distance they see Virgil sitting on a box and joined by Vregory. They approach them to see if they
knew anything. Vanora winced at the sight of the man eating garbage with no remorse, Vontell took the lead.
“Greetings to you both, we’d like to ask you something.”
Without care Virgil quickly replies. “We’re not buying.” Vanora clears her throat. “It’s about Vivienne, have you guys seen her?”
Vregory looks up spaced out, seeming like he knew something. “Oh yeah, that’s the girl with the hair. I’ve seen her.”
Vregory focuses on the garbage again and Virgil interrupts, before they got the wrong idea.
“He means before, we haven’t seen her today. Why?” Vanora sighs.
“She’s been missing… maybe it’s nothing but, it’s not like her and things are bad out here. I’m worried something happened.”
“Hmm… well good luck.”
Vontell chimes in. “If you happen to find anything out, let any of us know. We’ll appreciate any sort of news.”
“Yeah sure… I’ll text if anything happens.”
Vontell and Vanora thank them and go on their way, looking around Vivienne’s place but finding nothing.

“Velvet, do you have a second?”
She looks at him, it was out of character for Vontell to begin a conversation in a rush.
“Yes darling, what’s going on you look distraught!”
“Have you seen Vivienne around today?” Velvet shakes her head.
“I have not seen her, I’d remember. She always has such a perfect shine to her hair, that sweet girl.”
Vontell ponders for a second. “Thank you for the information, I guess I will go on and continue searching.
Perhaps I’ll rejoin Vanora and see if she found something out.”
Velvet had no clue what was really happening but she nodded along.
“Well, if I find anything out I’ll let you know alright!?”
Vontell smiles. “Thanks Velvet, much appreciated! I’ll see you around then!”

Vanora approaches Vyctor, he groans at the sight of her, dreading a long winded conversation.
“Vyctor! Have you seen Vivienne?” He thinks and stares at her. “When have I ever hung out with her? She’s so peppy.”
Vanora furrows her brow and looks around, Vyctor notices the worry.
“Hey, is everything ok?” Vanora sighs. “Well, I hope so. But Vivienne’s sort of disappeared.
I’m just hoping it’s a coincidence, but she’s never done this before… and with how things are, what if something happened to her!?”
Vyctor nods. “Yeah, things aren’t good. Look, I’ll go tell Valentina about the power. And then I’ll help you out.” Vanora tilts her head.
“Tell Valentina? It’s been… a month.” Vyctor scratches his head.
“Yeah no… it’s not funny anymore, I’ll tell her. Don’t bother with it. Go ask the rest, I’ll deal with that.” Vanora just accepts it and goes on to find others to ask about Vivienne.

Hours later, Vontell came about Vanora on his way out. He’d thought it’d be best to not give his friend away,
in the case she had not confessed, but he’d see no harm if the good news were shared by Vanora herself.
After greeting each other he asked, “Have you seen Vivienne today by any chance?”
Vanora shakes her head. “I have not seen her, I assumed she was hanging with you as usual.”
Vontell was puzzled. “She was earlier, then she went out to meet you.”
They both thought for a second, and decided to contact her through the phone,
but no amount of calling yielded results. Vanora was worried.
“She’s not answering her phone.” Vontell gave out a nod.
“Let’s not assume the worst yet, let’s go ask around. She might have met with someone.”
Vanora agrees and they walk out to ask others about Vivienne.

Although it looked just like Vanora, Vivienne was afraid and took a step back.
“V-vanora you’re scaring me! What’s going on!? This isn’t funny!”
Vanora continued her steady pace.
“Vivienne I have something to show you. Come with me.”
She grabbed her by the arm and started walking the other way, pulling her along.
“I have something to show you!”
Vivienne tried to fight her off, but whoever that was, she was stronger than she seemed.
And so she was dragged off by whoever had taken Vanora’s appearance.
