@Hachi: Medibang i feel is better for sketching but it has no texture brushes.
Krita has tons of texture brushes but for me personally it's hard to see the brush
so i can't usually find where it's drawing.
The drawing tablet I use is a huion brand and it does work very well.
In the past I've had a wacom but wacom can be rather expensive.
So i went a more affordable budget type of tablet.
Breaking the rules and even learning them all is hard because the rules are fundamentals like anatomy/proportions, values, color theory, etc.
and I've barely cracked down on learning them all and doing studies on each one. So for me i feel i can't break them until I've at least dabbled
into each fundamental rule at least once. Right now my focus for sure is anatomy/proportions, color[mostly blending though] and value.
I am actually working on a goal of mine. my goal is overkill though. i am making sure i can draw maybe 1000 of each study each month. probably overkill but it'll go towards mileage and memory muscle.
I'm easily burnt out, but its actually to draw when you are not inspired. so I am trying to teach myself that.
Depression of course has other plans all the time, but i feel pushing through my struggles will help me in the long wrong.
my goal for 2019 is just to study and make progress.
i'm honestly someone who can't give anyone art unless it's PERFECT.
though i also doubt anyone would want my art sometimes. :vanora_xd:

Yes it is. But this one is the most affordable one. Most range from $400[huion is pretty affordable too] all the way to $2k.
But displays are more so for people i feel who can produce a lot so it won't be hard to use it or won't be a hard adjustment.

I only have one sibling though. but we basically tell each other everything.
but i have a hard time opening up sometimes. :vanora_sweat:
Aww i'm sorry. Mental health is such a pain sometimes so i feel you.
I feel it would be perfect if you travel too because it's not super large or anything.
unlike my current tablet which is way too big for anything except a suitcase. :vanora_xd:
Yes they are! i save so many on instagram since i use the laptop version more than the
app version.
Ah I see. probably when i get a job and understand art better i might experiment a lot more
with art. for now digital shall satisfy me.
I've tried and failed drawing with color pencils.
I love her art and she always has some great tips too.

living with my dad not so much. especially when he is pushy on religion stuff
and then i am constantly dealing with anxiety, depression and feeling guilty[which is also anxiety]. :vanora_sad:
Pro create just looks so nice.
it doesn't have some things but i see procreate always trying to add new things
that artists can use.
Same here. I need to remember to always use references.
I've never used a lot of paints and such.
I really want copic markers though. and those color erase prisma colored pencils.
She is so nice. I love watching her videos. I make sure to watch her videos when a new one is out. :vanora_sun:
I so wanna buy stuff from her definitely.
It's a hard habit to break. I just started thinking that it takes many years to get as good as they did.
and they weren't instantly born with the skills they have now.
which helped me a lot tbh.
Knowing myself, I'd avoid it. :vanora_neutral:
Hopefully you don't over work yourself. make sure to take breaks an eat and hydrate.

Photoshop drains my pen life so fast though.
last night I had to charge it for an hour. :vanora_neutral:
Some programs don't drain the battery at all or very fast.
Sometimes just using photoshop for a couple of hours will tell me it needs to be charged.
My tablet the only way you can tell i it needs charging is if you plug the chargers in and then the pen will light up red near the buttons.
and for the tablet it will blink.
I am considering getting a display tablet. which is way smaller and the pen doesn't need to be charged.
but i needz $250. :vanora_cry:
But it's the most affordable display tablet. so i mean it is an investment. like every tablet is.
Tbh I don't actually worry about style much. Style is honestly what things you like to draw.
Like if you like how a certain artist draws eyes then you pick those.
it's kinda like mismatching different art styles to make your art style and while you do that your art style also works
itself out in the background.
I see small changes but nothing drastic. Like I know i have improved, my art just doesn't look how I want it to look
which is semi realism. not super realistic. But a middle of realism and cartoony.
tbh I just want to have a painterly painting style.

Yes i totally feel that. with my tablet i do art in bed but it's hard because I have to set it on top of my laptop keyboard
and then it clicks all kinds of buttons. :vanora_unamused:
My art is too half-arsed to get stolen. :vanora_sweat:
Instagram is that place where art getting stolen happens all the time.
Which is why i always try to make my watermark appear in such an awkward place to remove.
Though all my art accounts are private.
Ah. I plan to do society6 but not until i am like...happy with my art.

And i figured to get something wireless this time as i wore down the wire so bad
on my first tablet. But it did last me 8 years. :vanora_smile:
