@Totalanimefan: Yeah, I spent this afternoon chilling with Animal Crossing. I'm at the point were I can start rearranging my island how I want.

I kinda placed everything willy nilly to begin with cause I didn't know how anything worked lol

@Totalanimefan: For all that I'm glad I don't work at wal-fart anymore, I do miss my 10 min commute. I could run home at lunch and eat leftovers in peace and quiet. 45 mins each way just sucks the soul right out of me. Plus I'm much more likely to eat out cause I'm not a morning person so I don't get up early enough to pack my lunch. TT_TT

My sister and I tackled my mom's stuff this weekend before my aunts could go through it. Like, we're fine with them taking stuff we would just donate anyway but I wanted to make sure we were thorough before turning it over to them. One aunt in particular has an affinity for "family" things and I'm tired of all the heirlooms making their way to her house.

It still feels unreal to be dividing up her things though.

@Totalanimefan: I've always been pretty good at holding off on big purchases. We grew up saving for one big thing at a time so I'm no stranger to waiting for something, or even deciding it's not what I actually wanted. It helps when you can get things 2nd hand from family or thrifted. Most of the furniture I have is functional so it can wait, even if it's not my style lol. The bed really needs to go tho, my back is killing me and a person my size shouldn't be sleeping on a twin regularly in the first place. TT_TT

Ideally I'd move closer to my job since gas isn't getting any cheaper haha. I hate renting but all the affordable houses get snapped up here so quick I wouldn't be able to compete with a cash offer even if I got approved for a home loan. Of course those same houses show up as rentals a couple of months later too >:[

Another snow day here! It'd be nice if I wasn't loosing out on a days pay 😩

@Totalanimefan: Oh it's been in my cart for months lol. I've been hesitant from making any really big purchases since the beginning of the pandemic (minus the switch and that took forever to talk myself into lol). I'm mildly terrified I'll end up jobless again and living off my savings for months on end. 😰

I probably should get the bed first buuut I also really wanna move apartments this summer when my lease is up. I feel like maybe I should wait until then???

@Totalanimefan: I've also got my eye on some other furniture...I've really been wanting to update my desk. Maybe a new kitchen table.

@Totalanimefan: In better news, I got an unexpected payraise! Now maybe I can afford a few new things... like a new mattress to replace my 20 yr old one lol 😅

@Totalanimefan: Oh geez, that reminds me of my worst experience with the orthodontist.

The super nice and chill Dr we had sold his practice to a younger guy who either fired or drove away all the dental assistants. So I went from seeing nice old ladies to a bunch of fresh faced graduates whose skill ranged from "ok" to "malpractice suit".

One cut into my gums when changing the wires who at least immediately got the Dr when I told her to stop. Another was removing the glue after taking off the brackets and sanded into my tooth. Like I legit have a noticeable indentation in my tooth.

Refused to get the Dr when I told her it was hurting me and said I just had a low pain tolerance. Keep in mind that I was 14 then and this was my 2nd round of braces since I was 7. Plenty of experience to know what was normal pain and what wasn't.

Our regular dentist was pissed when I told him. He chewed out that Dr and referred me to a different ortho after that. But it takes a lot for me to voluntarily go to a dentist I'm not familiar with. 😕

@Totalanimefan: Wish I could send you the lady that did my booster. She was really good, barely felt it. She noticed I was doing breathing techniques and asked if I she needed to count down or anything. Nope, just do it and don't tell me lol.

Shots aren't my favorite (I blame the lady who screwed up drawing my blood when I was a kid. My arms were black and blue and I ended up passing out. 😬). But I can manage it with calm breathing.

Do you think one of these would help you? Or is it more the getting there/ anticipation that's the problem?

@The Bride: Hmm, maybe they thought they were ready, took the old ones down, and then realized the new ones needed more time?
