Congratulations on the new job!! How very exciting, especially having the freedom to use the public transport. I hope everything goes well for you and your commutes are peaceful

@JosieOpal:
I could make cute WRAPPINGS FOR THE BOOKS
and write the age ratings on them
(gimme like 10 years to read enough books to fill one of these)

@WretroughWorld:
Oh thats a good idea to set one in your yard. Books for the neighbors <3
... but then my neighbors can judge me for what I read XD

You should! the little free libraries website gives free blueprints if you wanna do it yourself.

@Totalanimefan:
Same, I dont know if you're supposed to put on in if you take one out. That's what I would do to make it even :D
I'll have to keep my eyes peeled

@MaxIsConfused:
Thats not a bad idea, I think there is one around here somewhere?
In this state I'd have to get a permit to do it so it also depends on what those cost. Cant even do a yard sale without one of them XD
(probably why I dont see many yard sales since moving here)

I FORGOT ABOUT THESE
I love these so much, its such a precious idea that I'd love to build one.

Alas, I do not read enough books to really fill one up.
The books that I have read are not exactly child friendly, which I feel like most of these are intended for children more than they are for adults...
but I'll have to try and find one so I can chip in some of my nicer stories!

I've been cleaning my home up and making a pile of things and books that I should donate or something.
I"m not big on selling cause I don't like bringing strangers to my home place (or otherwise meeting in a parking lot like sketchy dealers to sell them a table or something)
Been trying to think of something to do with all these~!
Most of the small stack is manga so far and a novel that I didn't like very much. Fun journey, lame ending.

Do you do anything special with your books when you finish them?
Ever participated in a book exchange sort of thing or found any of these little free libraries? I have seen one or two when I lived in CO but never took or left anything in them.

Yeah I hope so too!
I'll feel really bad if others dont participate either and the whole thing flops.
But eh? we really ought to get better at communicating these ideass

Yeah my husband's supposed to have amazing luck next year, so I'm really just here to ride on his tail feathers~

Posted in God another diaper party Posted 1 year ago

@Count Trashula:
Yeah, its a weird thing to throw a party like this in the first place. We're all commission workers, so we're all not getting paid rn (recession hitting us pretty hard, cause no one has money for luxuries rn)
I'll see what I can manage to get through it~

"not my baby" is my inner selfish voice for real

Posted in CRIMIS is coming Posted 1 year ago

@Count Trashula:
Poo, year of the rabbit means I have to work harder to get by
sounds about like what I've been doing recently too.

Posted in God another diaper party Posted 1 year ago

Also I love the double take
that was my reaction when I first learned about these parties too

Posted in God another diaper party Posted 1 year ago

@Count Trashula:
so when someone's about to have a baby, people throw this "diaper party" where everyone goes out and buys diapers and other baby gifts to help the couple out. Because diapers are expensive af. Its a sweet idea but like... but diapers are expensive af
Not everyone has enough money to afford this kind of thing, on top of buying stuff to make a whole dish enough for everyone

Posted in CRIMIS is coming Posted 1 year ago

@Count Trashula:
Yes, I really hope we do have better financial luck next year!
I should check the horoscopes I dont really believe in them but sometimes they can set a positive mindset.
Like this year told my husband that he would work hard and have really good outcomes. And he absolutely did!

Posted in God another diaper party Posted 1 year ago

Another diaper party popped up at work and like...
I hate to come off selfish or mean but can we *not*?!
I'm over here debating on having just green bean casserole for xmas dinner instead of anything with meats or balance just cause this recession is kicking my asssss!
Diapers are so freaking expensive, I never thought I'd have to worry about them. PLUS A POT LUCK

Of course its one of those really awkward situations where you want to say "hey let me stay out of it, I'm not able to afford it" but like there is some sort of silent obligation cause there are only a few of us. what's a party without a group or something, I dont wanna ruin their fun or otherwise sit there awkwardly not pitching in

Social obligations are stressful

Posted in CRIMIS is coming Posted 1 year ago

@Count Trashula:
oh I loooove green bean casserole <3
I should make some too!
I also meant to do baking this time, but money has become a problem for me too sadly.
pinching pennies ;;

@WretroughWorld:
That sounds super nice <3
And yeah, I love how fancy this pizza turned out. I almost dont want to eat it cause its so pretty~
