Eh, I'm double posting.
And thank god this is not based on artistic ability because oh gosh...
For those people like me who don't necessarily want to hurt the imps. Has a nice (poorly drawn) pillow in it. 
For something the does a little more damage.

Math is the reasoning and the pattern is with the exponents. It took awhile for me to figure out. I'm bad at explaining things anyways, but notice the exponents go up by one for each number.
And for the current clue, eyes can guide but when you see something repulsive they "repel" you.
Heart might work too.
EDIT: I just realized the eye is the symbol on tile four. Apparently my mind is stuck on four. I'm stuck in a four loop.
Also Boris makes a good point about fire too.
