"People have tried to curse a phoenix. It can't be done." She then said.

"They're pure creatures... and it's just not possible. I suppose that the purification overrode your mana curse."

".... however, the curse is only apparent in the mana of one, and not the other." Anya commented with a light sigh.

"Ashley, you carry the curse of your family... Lindsay, I have no idea why it seems you don't." She added.

"did you EVER create black flames?" She asked.

"As in, before the phoenix addition."

Anya paused a moment, not entirely sure how much she should tell them.

".... Lindsay, can you create the rune that Fyrane's so well known for?" She asked him after a few seconds.

"You too, Ashley. Can you?"

"There is also the small detail of how that gives off .... I suppose a negative light. It would be far more difficult to see at night." Anya countered.

"and that may very well be what saves our life at some point. There really is no way to know." She then said.

"However, to address your concern.... no. I don't find that darkness adds a flavour at all, but I may be someone who cannot pick up on such a thing. Have you two never tested it before?"

"Yes." Anya answered.

"That is exactly what we are going to be doing." She then said before chuckling.

"Handy to be with a pair of fire mages. Cooking our food will be notably easier." She admitted.

"Some are." Anya answered honestly.

"However. Demon hunters and exorcists are different." She added after amoment or two.

"They are self righteous assholes, and will not listen to reason. They do not believe that one such as I can live peacefully on the surface."

"The hunters? Not a chance." Anya answered.

"Some people just won't listen." She added before pausing.

"You two every encounter hunters of any sort, before?'

"It's what I'm used to." Anya stated simply.

"regardless, we'll find somewhere in a fortnight or two. I do want to cross the border though." She added

"So we're living like this for a bit."

Sure enough, they got out of there easily, and quickly. They didn't even hang around to see if anything came of the place, or how the hunters would react upon finding that no one was there, as Anya knew that there would be enough remnants for them to find. Nothing to track her off of, she hoped, but enough to find that there had been a demon there.

Currently, they sitting under a tree, taking a break for a bit considering the fact taht they had been moving all night.

".... I wonder how hard it'll be find a house to buy." anya commented with a sigh as she laid back.

"Let's start keeping an eye and ear out, hey?"

"Combined with Raphael's natural presence, it's quite nice for the average person without my rift." Anya commented.

"And thank you." She then said to the archangel, sighing heavily.

"All right. I am going to go tend to the meat. You two, make sure there's nothing remaining that you care about, that you can't take." She said.

"I'll see you in a few." With that, she headed off to the room in question.

They all felt the rift closing. The air felt honestly cleaner, lighter. Raph didn't feel that prickling numbness nad pain that was naturally there due to the rift, after it was closed.

About three minutes later, Anya returned to them.

"I see you moved my instruments." She commented. "did you take the spiders down there too?" She asked, her voice curious.

"I only want to know so I have any sort of idea as to what is going where. Or if they ran off."

"Fair? I don't care." Anya commented.

"I'm just looking to survive. I may be a demon, but I can be killed, and they know exactly how." She added.

"I'll be back." with that, she made her way downstairs, her intention to close that rift. She knew she would need to open another one, for hte purpose of her infernal work, but she also knew this one could not remain open. If it was left, they could use it to find her, or cause shit down low.

Anya sighed lightly.

"I'll do it." She commented.

"It's barricaded, but I do realise that it would be a beacon here." She added as she set her own stuff down.

"And it will attack you, if you went down there. You're not allowed anywhere near the rifts on this plane, after all."

"Thank you, Lindsay." Anya said, gratitude in her voice.

"Just... thank you. I appreciate it." She added before looking to the house in question.

".... so will I." She added. "I haven't even been here ten years." She admitted with a sigh.

"Which is unfortunate, but literally nothing I can do about that."
