@Totalanimefan: oh wow, yeah, it does seem like unfortunately it came from them.

yeah. i don't think it's usually that much, but with gas prices being what they are... everything else increases too. but even before when it was like 350-400, it would still save a significant amount of a price decrease. for me, anything around $100 + cheaper is always the better option, cause ya girl's broke.

@DreamerZ: oh yeesh! that's scary. hopefully it will be fixed soon. I have a couple friends (they're married) that had that happen to them, and they're in the process of getting it fixed, but there's no where for them to go while it's getting fixed, so they have to stay in that house. they just stay away from that room. Yeah, it's okay if you don't know what it is, that's for sure. some people love them like my mom others hate them like my sibling, and then some are like meh, like me.
@Totalanimefan: Dang that sucks!!! i'm sorry! Hopefully you and your hubs have a mild case. i have had friends who have had it, and at one point my roommate had it. it was a miracle that i didn't get it because i take him to work every day, and he had actually ended up calling sick on the second day of symptoms, and they told him to go home and take a test after 5 days and if he was positive to stay out for a total of 10 days, or until his doctor said he could go back. i had also taken him to that appointment too, but by the time of the appointment he had been hanging out with me and my hubby in the living room and could have infected us, but especially me because i spent more time in close proximity to him un masked.

It is. tickets here were about 600 or more, and we paid 125. But, i think it's just like that because my uncle worked for the airline i fly on. Basically, it's just taxes and fees. They also call it non rev, or non revenue. So they don't really earn anything off of me.
@Totalanimefan: Hopefully you'll be feeling better by then. If it's outdoors i'm sure you would be okay if you're feeling okay. you can mask up and social distance if you can (i can't believe how quickly places threw out social distancing. it's kind of like america went, "nah, we're done with Covid. No one cares anymore." even though it's not over and a lot of people do care).

Mmm... no, not really. it's a hassle, but it's an expected hassle, except for the flight cancelation because even if i didn't fly stand by and purchased that flight, i still would have been scrambling a bit to get a flight. I just need to remember to keep the day after the one i plan to fly on open because of things like that.

@Aisukohi: my mom loves cow tongue tacos, but i think they're a little too chewwy. i've never had any other part of the head, but i'd be open to trying it. i'd look at the menu of the place and then decide if it's something you'd really want to do just to say you did it. i think there needs to be a certain level of enjoyment if things are pricey. Tucanos ended up being a little bit of a let down. Probably because they took some things out of their rotation since the last time i was there, but also they got rid of their passion fruit something or other. they still have a passion fruit item, but it's not what i remember it being. Boise Art Glass is on 12th and front street, right before the connector. (i don't know why it's called that, but like, the highway strip that leads in and out of downtown). If you remember next time you go, but don't remember where it is or what it was called i can always remind you :]
How old is your son if you don't mind me asking?

@dreamerz: i'm glad you're doing better, and i hope you can go home soon. What's going on?

i visited my friends here in town today and my heart broke because none of their oldest kids remember me. i've missed so much by moving away, it's so sad. But it was really good to see them. I'm hoping to visit with them a little more tomorrow afternoon, but it just depends on when my mom and i get back from our 5th and final hot springs. Idaho has 130 soakable hot springs, and i think mom picked the closest and best looking ones in the area. Closest is also a relative term- they've all been at least 45 minutes away so far. The rest of my trip is going to go so fast. Idk why but monday to friday always seems to go by in a blink of an eye for me when i don't have to work.
@Totalanimefan: I glad your knee is doing OK and it wasn't anything too serious, but I'm sorry to hear about you guys getting covid! Hopefully it's a mild case and doesn't leave any lasting side effects for you.

Unfortunately that's what flying stand by is almost always like. I think it was so stressful for me because my mom made plans for the day I arrived and the day after. (And every day since lol) I've been having a blast but I'm exhausted. Today we went on a wine tour. We went to 4 wineries and tried 19 wines, plus a "glass" of champagne (chambong). There were 7 other tourists with us and 4 of them were super fun and energetic and your typical "white girl at a party" type of girls. They gave off vibes like they're the people you see in photos on pinterest wedding boards having fun at brunch with mimosas and wine lol. They were loud and obnoxious but fun haha. It was a really good day and I learned that I don't like most of the wines that were offered. My social battery is super diminished because of the energy from those ladies. Fortunately tomorrow is hot springs and a visit with an old friend who doesn't drain my social battery.
@Aisukohi: i am also super picky about peanut butter things. something about it just makes it over powered.

i've seen a meteor shower once, but i only caught the tail end of it. i think i was in daytona, actually.

I don't know what restaurant you mean, but there was(is?) a golden dragon in caldwell. i've never been to it though. i think i went to sushiya once, but i don't think it was memorable enough for me. i never went to zen bento, but i have a couple friends who loved it. And i've never heard of burnt lemon. what kind of cuisine do they serve? i totally get being turned off by the price of tucanos. a lot of people have that opinion. I haven't been to many brazillian grills, but proper ones like that are usually around the same price point, particularly because of the kinds of meats they serve, as well as it being AYCE and with a salad bar that's pretty fantastic. my favorite thing they served last time i went (i don't know if they changed their rotations or not. i find out tomorrow or sunday, i think.) was the chicken hearts ( i know a lot of people think gross, but the way they prepare it it was delicious! i'm kind of adventurous when it comes to food. it's partly why i'm fat lol) and the caramelized pineapple

glass blowing was a lot of fun. i'd say give it another chance if you get the opportunity to do it with an english speaking instructor. i thought it was pretty easy, but my instructor did like half of the work. or next time you come to idaho, boise art glass has 1 hr classes for up to 2 people for like $125. you just have to pick up your piece the next day.

@DreamerZ: yes! i'm having a lot of fun! Mom is keeping me busy. Yesterday we went to a glass blowing class, and today we picked up our pieces. i'm going to see about uploading a picture or making a gif to show everyone! i made a gif! i'm super happy with how it turned out. I hope your day has been okay? I missed you too!

i made this!!!

The star balloons
@DreamerZ: I'm sorry to hear that. I hope things improve drastically soon.

@Aisukohi: the annihilator is so good!!! And the peach mango smoothie is my favorite non coffee drink.I used to love to get a white and black mocha (white chocolate mocha with dark chocolate in it) with cherry syrup and almond, but when I went they didn't have cherry, so I got it with strawberry instead. It was okay. Not sweet enough, but it was okay. My mom wanted to get coffee this morning and weeded up going to dutch bros and I got a blended annihilator with almond syrup lol

Oh my gosh yes! The stars are my favorite thing about when my mom used to take us camping. Getting away from the light pollution plus being in the mountains was always so fantastic.
I grew up in Boise and spent most of my life here, and I remember having the exact feeling you described when mom took me and my sibling to Arizona one year, and it was a completely clear sky in the middle of nowhere and the milky way was visible. That was also when I first learned about light pollution.

Oh man, yeah. There are a few restaurants that I requested eating at while I was here like los betos, because I love the chimichanga there.. I also asked for golden star chinese because their fried rice is what I compare other chinese food places' to.. if its just as good then I'll come back on regularly! So good! Jack In the box because I missed it lol,, and Tucanos brazillian grill (we are going Saturday I'm so excited) was my all time favorite place. And that's all i requested. Mom picked out a couple places to eat downtown that have been fantastic. A bit pricey, but the food was awesome.

Mom and I went to a glass blowing class today that really was more of a "try it yourself with guidance and supervision" sort of thing. We didn't learn a whole lot about it really (like he didn't tell us a whole lot about what different things were or what different techniques were called or anything), but it was cool because we both got to make something. I made a soap dispenser and mom made an olive oil bottle. We pick them up tomorrow afternoon. I'm super excited to see how mine turned out.

@Aisukohi: OH MY GOSH YES. I would LOVE if dutch bros came to florida. literally anywhere were in Florida if still go haha. Ironically, I had dutch this morning before going to twin falls! Best coffee ever. The last time I had dutch bros was i think in 2016 right before I moved to Florida.

You are -so- right about the different scenery. Mountains, canyons, desert and plateaus all in a 2 hour drive. And sage brush everywhere. I couldn't breathe to well today because of it. I didn't realize just now nice it was to be able to breathe through my nose until today because I just so happen to be allergic to it. Tomorrow I'm taking a Claritin before we go out.

I totally get spur of the moment decisions. It was kinda how I ended up in Florida. I randomly asked my hubby if he'd like to move back to Florida so I could get to know his family a bit better.

I drove down Fairview Ave going towards downtown today and holy moly that street has changed so much in the past like 3 years! And then I went downtown to visit my sibling and down town looks so different now. its crazy! The last time I was in downtown boise was in January 2016. I didn't know 4 to 6 blocks could change so drastically in 6 years. Its so crazy!

@Vegan: thank you!! It also has pretty deep pockets! I bought the pattern specifically because the fabric needed to be a dress.

@AngelicTeaTime: thank you!
@dreamerz: i totally get that. most of my weeks are like that but not this week, nor the next one for me cause of my trip.

@Aisukohi: Boise! i grew up there and only moved to central florida in 2016. i've never met anyone from florida before that has gone to idaho. Color me, pleasantly surprised!

@totalanimefan: it went... okay?
so you know my first flight got canceled last night, fine, nbd, i rescheduled it. So the next available flight was way over booked because airlines do that on occasion, and because of the canceled flight, so i was pretty confident that i wasn't going to get on that one. I was correct. Unfortunately, that meant the rest of my itinerary needed to be changed too. So when they bump you to the next flight when you fly standby, usually it will automatically change the following flights.thaat.... did not happen, and i couldn't ask anyone about it because as soon as the gate is closed, the workers leave and do whatever else. so i had to wait at the gate for the next flight out of orlando to talk to someone, and that someone ended up not being very helpful. So, they said i would basically have to call the reservations line and talk to them to change it, but i only had 40 minutes until that flight would start to board. So i end up going oh w/e i'll deal with it in seattle. I got on that flight (thankfully), messaged my mom about an hour into that flight to tell her to call for me and get it fixed, which she did. So, i finally got to nap a bit on that flight, which was really nice cause i was and am so tired. So mom finally messages me and tells me that she was finally able to talk to a person to get it changed for me. Awesome. I should be all set, right? well, kinda. I found out that i was not checked into that flight, nor could i check myself in online or on the app. so again, i had to wait by the gate to talk to someone. And the someone was new, so he didn't really know what to do, but the person training him showed him how to check someone in, and gave me my temp boarding pass. i say temp because it did not have a seat assigned yet. SO. I wait for the plane to start boarding while constantly checking to see if i had been assigned a seat yet. the ENTIRE plane boards except for me and one other girl who was also flying standby. they go do a seat check and find out what seats are left (cause somehow they have to physically check? i don't get it. they scanned the boarding passes and that should have told them how many seats and which ones were available, but i digress. so i'm super anxious, toe tapping, trying to look as calm as i can. i'm so close. i know they had enough seats. they had 146 people book the flight with a capacity of 147, and only 141 people had checked in, including the stand by travelers.so i know they had room. but of course they didn't wanna tell me or the other girl that until literally the last moment. So we got our boarding passes, i'm so ready to go i forget to have them scan my boarding pass that i walk right past, and then remember (i was too tired to be embarassed by that point.) and go back. THen i get on the plane, ask for a seatbelt extender (it was a smaller plane. my butt barely fit in the seat, and i knew that ahead of time, at least.) put my carry on bag in the bin and squeeze past the two people in the row i was assigned to, and i just tried making myself as small as i could so not to bother the guy next to me. I'm pretty sure he kept farting too; it was not a comfortable flight, but at least it was only an hour long. so, FINALLY i made it. mom picked me up, took me to her house/grandma's house(they live together cause grandma is old.) i try to eat a little, but i'm so tired i don't eat a lot. And then i go unpack a little, and realize i lost my phone charger cord. it is possible it's in mom's car, but i'm not going to go look. but I made it! it just took basically 17 hours to get here.

also, i'm glad your knee is okay/better!
So i was able to reschedule my flight, but i probably won't be able to catch that flight either, based on the waiting list and how full the flight looked. so I get to stay at the air port until i can get on a plane. woo..... oh well, once i get to idaho, i'll be fine.
@DreamerZ: it's totally cool. i've had times like that myself, especially when waiting for replies.

So i just checked my flight info and what not and the flight out of orlando was canceled. so now i have to figure out what to do. i'm super stressed right now.
