@Totalanimefan: honestly, same. I was scared for our country when trump was voted into office, and i'm scared for the country if desantis is president.
Yeah, work from home jobs are great. I'd have a hard time with it though because i'm not really self motivated, but at least there would be some structure with it. I remember when i was in high school. i tried taking an online summer school class and i failed it because i don't have the self discipline to not get distracted. The structure of actually being in a classroom was the only way i could learn. When i was in college, one of my foreign language classes had a huge online portion and i ended up dropping the class because i didn't have enough structure to keep up in the class. I feel like at least with a work from home job, if it's like a call center at least, i would be okay though. The metrics and schedules for those type of jobs are a bit more rigid, anyway.

@dreamerz: I have bad anxiety, and a lot of time that manifests in avoidance whenever possible. Actually, even just with going to hang out with friends sometimes. Like i'll make plans and end up canceling because i get too anxious. So to have people i've never met, or have only met once in my home is a bit much. So i'll definitely want to be in my room or out of the house if i can.

No worries about being absent, life happens. <3

@Totalanimefan: Yeah, i think my roommate said something about DeSantis wanting to basically be the next Trump. I just hope America is smart enough to not put him in a position of higher power because he's so horrible. Like, i don't really follow politics, so when something happens and people around me are talking about it (including my mom, clear across the country in idaho), i become aware, and that's saying something. It would be another thing if it was mentioned once, but it's an ongoing conversation in my home. it's been brought up literally every day this week.

I can't wait to move next week. i'm not like super stressed right now, but at least at the new place we can have a working AC and i can get a proper job out there. i think i may try to take a week to get settled before i start really applying places though. Fortunately, pretty much everywhere is hiring. I wonder if my friend could help me get a work from home job like she has. That would be nice.
@Totalanimefan: yeah, the sad thing is i don't think a lot of desantis supporters realize that WDW can and will relocate without taking too much of a hit. Disney fans come from all over the world, DeSantis supporters are only in FL. Disney fan's don't care where it's at, and i think WDW would be better off in a slightly more temperate climate that's not so miserable in the summer anyways. i don't know about you, but when it's hot outside i don't want to be around people or outside. However, now i'm thinking about disney and i wanna go back so bad :[
@Totalanimefan: it shouldn't be. It will hopefully be our last move before we buy a house. There's a lot of stuff happening with WDW vs the state of florida, so its possible that the state will royally mess up, causing the orlando area and central florida's housing market to basically crash. the state is trying to revoke WDW's municipality rights, which means that WDW won't be able to operate at their level of quality and have threatened to leave the state if the government goes through with the legislation. It's a big mess actually.

@dreamerz: oh, we just kept forgetting. I told her tonight though. She's cool with it. She forgot to tell us that she invited family over next month for the last week in may because it's her parent's aniversary on the 28th (idk which one) though, so we'll have to put up with them. I have a feeling that while i'm not home (i'm planning on getting another job) Tyikee will either be locking himself in the room or will be out of the house. He doesn't get along with some of the family that will be staying with us. I don't think i've met them, so i will also be locking myself in the room or not being home. It's going to be a lot of people at one time in a not big enough house.
@Totalanimefan: well, the thing is most of the stuff that's still in boxes is just like, house hold things and my husbands trading cards. I guess i can explain a little better- we moved to deltona,fl from idaho in february 2016, then we moved to our own place that october/november. Then we moved from there to Daytona in the end of 2019, but the place we moved into was prefurnished and wasn't supposed to be a long term thing, but my landlords (my downstairs neighbors/friends parent's) were cool with us staying however long we needed cause we didn't cause problems (except for when covid hit and i was unemployed and rent was a bit late). So we put our stuff in storage when we moved in there. Then last year, my current roommates 3rd roommate said he was moving back in with his mom, so they were in a bind and needed a roommate to fill the space, so tyi and i agreed to move in. So when we moved out of the daytona house, we had most of our stuff in storage anyways, so we decided to get rid of like half of our things, most of it being book cases and clothes we never wore anymore. So when we moved in here in orlando, we didn't really unpack much because it was supposed to be temporary(less than a year, but we've been here for 11 months.) and we were going to fill their space until they found someone else or we were able to take over at tyi's mom's. The stuff we have packed still is house hold stuff that they already have or we didn't have toom for anyways. It's not a whole lot of stuff we can get rid of at this point, but just a bunch f stuff we haven't needed or had room for at the previous places. I know that as i unpack at the new place (in deltona lol) i'll go through everything and get rid of what we don't need anymore, but it's a lot to go through when it's already all packed and ready to go.

That was a longer explanation than i expected, sorry for the wall of text!

@DreamerZ: yeah, definitely. we still haven't told her yet though haha
@Totalanimefan: yeah, Gram's kind of like that. She constantly has a nasty attitude, and it's hard because my mother in law says sometimes she can't tell if it's the dementia or if it's just Gram being nasty (She gets an attitude reallly easily.), and she just has to remember that Gram doesn't really know what she's saying or what she's doing. It's hard on Gram though, because it's like she's always in this constant state of confusion and she's stubborn, so she thinks things are one way and gets upset when told other wise because her brain has her so convinced of things being how she said. Some times she's just nasty to some people, and she was like that for a while before she was diagnosed with dementia, which is why it's hard to tell sometimes.

I know what it's like to move twice in a year, and to be half unpacked. Tyi and i moved to his grandparents house in florida from idaho (where i'm originally from) in 2016, and then 8 months later we moved to our own place across town. That 8 months definitely felt like we were living out of a suitcase, since all of my stuff was in storage. Actually, i think that house we lived in was the only one we fully unpacked in, and we were only there for 2 years, and we've been half unpacked since. It really makes you wonder how much stuff we have that we don't really need anymore but still hang on to.

@dreamerz: I think last night we decided may 1st for the move date, but i think we need to tell Tyi's mom that that's the day we've decided on lol

I appreciate you checking on me and Tyi <3
@Totalanimefan: The food was so good :] Yeah, my in-laws are struggling with it pretty hard, especially Tyi's s brothers and sister. Tyi is too. But my mother in law is handling it pretty well, i think. She'll be able to be around Gram a bit more once she's moved over there, and if she needs a night away once she's fully transitioned, she'll be able to because the house we're moving into has 3 bedrooms, and at least one is going to be a spare room specifically for any guests we may have, including my mother in law. it may or may not double as Tyi's office once we get a proper desk and computer chair for him, but we'll see when the time comes.

you didn't tell me specifically, but i saw you mention it to Z. :]

Blueberry swirl
@Totalanimefan: Tyi's mom met me half way between her place and orlando (which was ironically still in orlando), and brought us the left over food. Gramps gave us his leftovers too because i guess he's on a diet. So we got like half of the ham, a bunch of sauce with meatballs and sausage, and a container of pasta- mostly noodles, but also 2 stuffed manicotti and a stuffed giant shell.

We're also moving! Tyi and i are going to take over the house his mom is renting, and it's the next street over from his grandparents. His mom is moving in with them slowly, so she'll be living with us until she can transition in to their house. She's moving in there so she can help Gramps out with Gram, who has dementia. Gram's already having a rough time, and Gramps needs the help taking care of her. And with me and Tyi right around the corner, we'll be able to visit more and help out if gramps needs to go somewhere. Also it will be nice because no stairs and eventually no roommates. And we can have pets there! There's a ton of other benefits to us moving too.

@DreamerZ: I'm like 98% better today, only slight nasal congestion that feels more like allergies than anything at this point. i am still a bit more tired than normal though. Tyi's doing a bit better. he's been coughing less today, which is good because yesterday he was coughing so hard he started dry heaving. He doesn't have any nausea unless he starts coughing really hard like that, so hopefully he'll be much better by Friday (we have DND on Fridays.) We are planning on moving on the 1st (see my response to total), and i'm really looking forward to being out of here. I have a hard time waiting for things and just want to get it done, but we need to wait until at least tyi is feeling better before we move.
@Totalanimefan: me too. Tyi and i are missing out on easter dinner with his family today which sucks cause they make really good food. His grandpa is italian so he usually makes some sort of pasta dish like lasagna or baked ziti. one time he made stuffed shells. it was really good. Speaking of his family, we're moving in with his mom for a little bit while she transitions into her parent's house. Gram has dementia, and it's getting bad and mom wants to be living there to help them out, but also to save money, i think. Honestly, if she was just moving right away then tyi and i wouldn't be able to rent the house she's in cause we only have one income at the moment, so i'm grateful that she's willing to transition into her parent's house. i'm hoping that transition takes at least 2 months, because by then Tyikee and i can both be working and have some play money (mostly to buy furniture lol).

today i was able to make it up the stairs without struggling too much. i didn't even need my inhaler when i got inside.
i'm glad to hear you're doing a bit better too. Covid recovery is rough, and i'm at the point where i'm just getting annoyed by it.
@Totalanimefan: My doctor said the strain we have isn't really effecting the lungs as much as the previous strains, and is more head cold symptoms, so that's good. Tyi still has a cough and his throat gunk chokes him at night if he sleeps laying flat, so he's still on the couch for now. I'm feeling a LOT better today. Not 100% but i think in a day or two i'll be good (thanks for vaccine antibodies!). I'm hoping tyi is okay soon too. I'm not even using theraflu any more, just my inhaler when i come up stairs from taking my roommate to work, and the flonase when i wake up. great improvement!

@aisukohi: Definitely! Take advantage of those benefits! And yes, i agree, Covid is going to be around for a while, kind of like the flu. Theraflu was great for me. It's one of the only cold medicines I like, actually.

@dreamerz: -hugs tightly back- Thanks! i'm feeling much better!
@Aisukohi: ah yeah. i get that. I'm taking theraflu to help with my symptoms when i'm ready to sleep. I like it because it's little "tea" packets. it's a little bitter, but nothing a tablespoon of sugar or honey couldn't fix. it helps sinus congestion, runny nose, fever, body aches, and i think sore throat pain. It doesn't help with cough, but that's what the medicine the Dr prescribed is for. i've actually noticed a little difficulty swallowing sometimes. it feels like it just won't go down, like my muscles don't wanna do their job. it doesn't happen all the time, but often enough that it's concerning. I've also noticed that if i'm laying down and need to burp, i'll get a little nauseous until i sit up and am able to burp. It's weird, but i think it's because one of the possible symptoms or side effects of covid is your throat muscles relaxing so it can be difficult to swallow, and i think because of that my body just went, "oh, can't swallow? then you can't regulate what comes up either so just incase it's not gas, imma make you a bit nauseous until you sit up!"

The roommate that brought it into the house works in Disney Springs, and is public facing, so that's definitely where he got it.
