@Aisukohi: that's super lucky! yeah, i'm grateful that we got it at the same time. My hubby was not vaccinated because he has a phobia of needles, so i think he's had it the worst so far. My roommate that brought it into the house had it in august and had it way worse then than he did this time around. our other roommate was vaxxed and it didn't seem to really phase him, but he's always in his room. Hubby and i basically live in the livingroom because half of our room is boxes (we moved from a full house to a bedroom. we can't unpack everything, so most of our stuff is in boxes still) and the other half is our bed and dresser. I think that's the biggest reason we got sick. If Mucinex did anything for me i'd be taking that too, but it does absolutely nothing except taste bad.
i think the worst part of covid for me so far other than my left side of my sinuses hurting pretty bad is the fact that i can't vape (yes, i know unhealthy blah blah blah. but i enjoy it.)
@dreamerz: i like the caramel ones, the pretzel ones and the mint dark chocolate ones the best.

@aisukohi: hey Aisu! i got home from my vacation on the 8th, and hubby got sick on the 9th. it took me about 4 days before i got sick.

So i have covid. Took a home test last night and went to the doctor to confirm good news, i didn't get it on my trip. Bad news, i got it from my roommate. Good news, i'm vaccinated so it shouldn't be too rough for me and currently feels like an annoying cold with lots of sinus pressure. i don't have a cough yet, but my Dr did prescribe a cough medicine for me as well as an inhaler and flonase, so i should be all set to ride this out. I also have Theraflu, but that puts me to sleep so i've kinda been avoiding taking it if i can.
@Totalanimefan: i get that. i'm sensitive to light changes, but if it's gradual and isn't too bright then it doesn't bother me. for me it's more noise that i'm sensitive to. like, i have a box fan in my room mostly because of the noise it makes drowns out the noises outside my room for the most part. half the time its really cold in my room and tyi asks if i want the fan off and one time i said yes and regretted it immediately. our roommate that's room is next to ours has a loud voice that carries well, and he works from home during "normal people hours" when tyi and i tend to be sleeping. so that fan saved my sleep on many occasions. Also any noise that is louder than my fan or the sound of the bedroom door opening wakes me up quite efficiently.

@DreamerZ: they are so good and i am sad because i am out of them. i did just find out that walmart and target sell the coconut ones (Ferrero Raffello) by themselves in a bag of 15 pieces for like $6, so i will probably get more soon.
@Totalanimefan: Yeah, it was. now if i'm left alone i'll sleep at least 12 hours no problem. i also tend to do this thing where i'll wake up and decide i'm not ready to wake up yet, and go back to sleep.
@Totalanimefan: Sadly, i probably could. i have chronic fatigue, so i'm literally always tired. I once slept for 20 hours, was up for 4 hours, and then slept for another 16. i wasn't sick then, either.
@DreamerZ: that's ironic. I can't stand almond joy or mounds because of the coconut shreds. I like the flavor, but the texture kills me. I actually just discovered that Ferrero Rocher came out with a coconut flavored one that has an almond in it, and it has dry coconut flakes, and I absolutely LOVE it. Surprisingly the coconut flakes are slightly crispy, and are crispy enough to not feel gritty. It has a coconut white chocolate filling that's amazing too. They also have a dark chocolate one with crispy dark chocolate bits on the outside with a dark chocolate filling with a dark chocolate "pearl" that's basically a dark chocolate m&m in the middle. That one is pretty good too. I love dark chocolate so I was super surprised when I liked the coconut one the most.

I have the texture issue with certain fabrics also, like sherpa. I hate sherpa so much. Like yes, it's super soft, but it feels like it sticks to you because is so soft and I hate it. I also hate velvet and velour, but that's just cause those pretend to be soft but you touch them the wrong way its like nails on a chalk board to me.

How's the house situation going?
@Totalanimefan: i got so much sleep lol when i finally got home after dnd i slept from about 2 am until about 5:30pm, then cause hubby got sick, but not covid, we went to bed around 1 am last night. i slept until 1 pm, so 12 hours. Although, my whole trip i didn't sleep a whole lot. i tend to push myself when i'm on vacation because i wanna stay up and talk a little with Tyi before i go to bed, and i have to get up early usually because of plans and stuff, so i couldn't sleep in past 9 most days. the last 2 days i got to sleep until 11, which was nice, but i still didn't get too much sleep on those nights either lol

i'm glad to hear you're starting to feel a little better, even if that's just your symptoms turning into normal cold symptoms.
@Totalanimefan: yeah, thankfully hubby and I have the master bed and bathroom, so we don't have to share with our roommate. And our room keeps to his room when he's sick because he doesn't want to get anyone else sick. But I still attacked all of the surfaces with microban.

Yeah, it was a good trip. I'm so tired though- in the last 40ish hours I've had about 4 hours of sleep, and that was on the flight home (which was nice. I woke up for take off, a snack, a message from the pilot about the turbulence[I fell immediately back to sleep] and for landing.) Hubby and i had dnd tonight so we did that and then we got home and I sorta started to unpack, and had a glass of the wine I brought home while hubby wound down. I'm going to bed bow, but I just wanted to pop on and let everyone know I got home safely.

@dreamerz: I can't eat certain foods because of the texture, like watermelon or soft shredded coconut. I hate how gritty those things feel. There are others but I'm way too tired to think of them right now lol

i've been on vacation for the last like, 10 days. i went to idaho to visit my family and old friends (i literally spent 12 hours at a friend's house just talking on tuesday! it was great), and i'm finally on my way home. I'm super excited because my husband stayed home, and when he and i are apart for more than like a day, he gets supper cuddly and cute and gives me extra attention. i'm also super excited for him to give me a bear hug because he missed me. i'm also excited to go home because , well, home. Traveling is hard sometimes, and i did a LOT on my trip.

i'm currently sitting in San Fransisco until about 7 am pacific time. just waiting for my plane to go.
I'm on my way home! i ended up switching my flight from a lay over in seattle and arriving in orlando at 6 am, for a flight that took me to san fransisco and a flight that took my home around like... 3 something. i also accidentally put my phone charger in my checked bag by mistake, so it's on power saving mode until i go back through TSA because i went outside to vape and can't go back until midnight here (30 more minutes, if i go back. i kinda like my spot- it has a power outlet near it)

Yesterday mom took me and my sibling to a movie (the lost city- it was good. very funny). After she and i went to a japanese steak house called Teppanyaki, and after we went to a hockey game. The Idaho steelheads vs utah grizzlies. utah won 3-0, but it was still a fun game to watch. you could tell some of the players on opposite teams were buddies. it was a fun "last" day. Today mom and i picked up lunch (i took it with me and just ate it lol) from a sandwich shop, and had lunch with my aunt, then i packed and went to the airport and flying to SFO was a BREEZE. it was so ridiculously easy, and i got a "premium" seat with the extra leg room.
@Totalanimefan: i mean, maybe? it still sounds so risky to me. I was just told my roommate has covid, so when i get home i'm attacking every possible surface with microban and throwing my hand sanitizer at him lol

i'm sure you'll feel better soon. I recommend opening your bedroom window and letting it air out a bit. Also, stay hydrated!!! My roommate had a problem with hydration the first time he had covid, so now he's being extra careful.

@DreamerZ: it tasted like beef, like it was fine flavor wise, but the texture for me was off putting. it was chewier than normal, and i'm really big about textures of things.

@Synth: oh my gosh! thank you! i'm not a super experienced "seamstress," but i can sew things following a pattern. I'm hoping to learn how to make my own patterns one day though.

@Vegan: honestly same about the pockets. I love dresses because i hate wearing pants unless i'm spending the night somewhere and i am wearing pj pants lol. And with longer dresses, no shorts are needed. I still wear them, but like... not always? depends on my mood and if the dress or skirt has pockets already. Shorter dresses or skirts, i always wear shorts under.
@Totalanimefan: i totally get that thought, and also, HOLY COW that's a lot of guests!! i think hubs and i invited 150, but we expected at least 1/3 of them to say no sine they were out of state guests.
I'm glad you enjoyed it! her kids are pretty cute! Her 2 year old is super shy normally because she's basically a covid baby and hasn't had a chance to really socialize much. Speaking of covid, how are you and your S.O. doing?

@Aisukohi: yeah, fortunately it's not too much of a deterrent, but that's mostly beucase i'm sure that by the time i come back to tucanos, they'll have another cook.
yes!! i've been pointing out the geese all week. seeing them makes me happy, but i do remember how much they pooped everywhere. the parks in boise are one of the things i missed a lot. like, yeah florida has parks, but idk, it's like no one really uses them or they're not as nice as boise parks. Awe, my girlfriend's youngest is 4! yeah definitely a sitter if you go glass blowing! i think kids like, 8 and up would be able to sit still and listen well enough to take the class i took, especially with parental supervision, depending on their energy and focus skills. And the Springs is the one mom took me to last, and it was the best one! it was so nice there. i wish they didn't have a 3 drink limit, because even though the hot water does make it his you faster/harder, i have a pretty high tolerance for alcohol, so i would have enjoyed maybe one or two more drinks while i was there. After we went to the Springs, mom took me to idaho city for lunch, which was pretty good. it was raining the day we went and actually was snowing a little while we were there. it was reallly cold getting in to the pool, but it was nice getting out. i took a lot of really neat pictures. when i get home friday i'll upload them and share links to them so you can see. it was so pretty!

@Totalanimefan: Hopefully they will be better by then. i think if you purchase the tickets like 3 months in advance, you should be okay.

@DreamerZ: I totally get that. Hotel stays add up quick. Hopefully they can get rid of the mold fast! Yeah, when i tried cow tongue, i was visiting my mom (4 years ago, the last time i came to idaho) and she took me to a spanish place and they had cow tongue as one of their meat options. Mom basically was like, it's good, i like it, you should try it. if you don't like it i'll get something different and you can have that and i'll eat your burrito. so i was liek, eh, i'll try anything once. and then it was... okay, in my opinion.

@Wildfire: i am not looking forward to love bug season. ick.

i just got back from my friend's house, i was there for 12 hours, and she missed me a bunch so she was glad to have me over. Her husband was fine with me coming over, but he was ready for me to go because he wanted to go to bed, but he didn't say anything. honestly if i still lived in idaho i would have just stayed the night there lol It was really great to catch up with her and spend time with her and her 3 kids. Her daughter loves me. She doesn't normally let anyone hold her, but i was video chatting with my hubby and put her in my lap for a moment, and i put her down and she was like, "up??" My friend was surprised by it but also really happy about it. her daughter is 2, her oldest boy is 7 and her youngest boy is 5. 5 year olds have so much energy, holy moly!
