I will say that if anyone has the chance to have lumpia, just know that was a labor of love because those things take 5ever to make lol.

For me, I think my comfort food is the Filipino staples: lumpia (spring rolls), pancit (rice noodle stir fry), and adobo (meat cooked in a soy sauce vinegar sauce). I like other Filipino food since it's in my blood, but those are my top 3.

@Kory: They probably have a Ruth's Chris in Pasadena since it is a chain. I'd like to go at least once to say I've been lol. And yes, I'm so happy for him. ^^
That's totally fine. Sometimes I think sharing more intimate stuff might be easier with strangers because they don't actually know me, but I can understand where you're coming from. At the end of the day, I usually bottle stuff up, which I know isn't healthy . I appreciate the Post Your Rants thread though. I don't use it often, but I'm glad it's there.

koneko, There's a beautiful park way out of the way that I thought about trying to run sometime. Lots of little trails that I'd like to explore. People run on the beaches here all the time, which is terrible for their joints, but somehow they don't realize it. It's just uneven ground, even if the sand is packed when it's wet. Just no.

First time I heard of kolache was actually at a donut shop. xD Fiance got one once and he said it was pretty good.

@Kory: I offered to go to Ruth's Chris, which is an expensive steakhouse that I always wanted to try, but he said no. xP So gotta come up with something else to do. But thank you! The career can definitely be competitive, and he's wanted a job like this for so long it seems, so I'm glad he finally gets a shot at it.

koneko, I think it's mostly my knees and hands/fingers that hurt with the cold. I wouldn't be surprised if I was diagnosed with arthritis in either or both someday. My knees tend to pop if they're bent for too long, and kneeling on a hard surface feels like murder on them. So when that question "Would you rather die by burning to death or freezing to death?" comes up, either way I lose. :'D
