I was going to be making videos of me painting and post it on my instagram.
Change of plans. I had made and edited the video but..No converter unless I do 1. free trial which is watermarked[although it wouldn't even let me export it]
or 2. buy it. which I can't do. Since I don't have $30-50
So I guess i spent so much energy making a small clip of painting for nothing. :vanora_cry:

But on the plus side, I at least made progress in this piece.

Idk about stories, but last I checked the posts allow for a minute. Maybe longer cuz I think I saw a three minute one but that's on an account with the official blue marker so that may cause a difference
You can always do a preview of the video on insta and a full upload on yt too

@Kitalpha Hart: Since I filmed this on my computer by OBS, i can't get it to instagram in general since the video file
needs to be converted.
So i don't think I can do previews for it at all.

@Amber Lynne: it would kinda be a bit of a waste with no music and 49 seconds lol.
I don't think anyone would watch me painting for 49 seconds. :vanora_sweat:
Plus I can't really upload anything to youtube since I have to verify my account by phone number.
which I do not own a phone last time i tried.

@Shadami: Might just have to save up for editing program that can export it and so on.
But I still have the edited and non edited version just in case I do figure it out.

But i am happy with what progress I made regardless.

Another option, is that you can upload to dropbox, box, mega, drive, etc, and send to someone else who can then convert and send back.
(I could do it, for instance)

@Shadami: I had fun editing it. It gave me out of body experience like
i watch art videos a lot Especially of others painting.

So it made me very excited.
So that will just be on the back burner for a little while.

@Amber Lynne: i'll have to look into dropbox as I never used it before.

@MoodyBats: There's a bunch out there.
Dropbox and Google drive are the two common ones.
There's also mega, box.com, and others.

As far as I know, all have free options, along with paid. If that's a concern at all.

@MoodyBats: You can download the old microsoft suite that has microsoft movie maker. I used to use it when making compilations for a band I like, before moving on to HitFilm Express, which is free and the only time it has a watermark is when you export with certain effects packages that you need to purchase (there's a large library of free effects, don't worry). Hopefully this helps :) (yes hitfilm sends you a download through email but it's not something you have to pay for if you don't want to)

One other thing to mention.
If you want a FREE NON TRIAL video editing program, try Da Vinci Resolve.
It's what I currently use, and it's a heavy program, but it's wonderful.

@Amber Lynne: If it's a heavy program then my computer probably can't handle it.
it has a hard enough time handling my 40 layers of art and recording is quite laggy too. :vanora_sweat:

@MoodyBats: Hmmm, have you tried OBS?
It's very much a light program that has multiple different output options. (mkv I think is the default, but I have it set for mp4 outputs myself)

@MoodyBats: Well... yeah.
But if you use OBS, then you don't need a video convertor. You can literally just record to MP4 and upload. Tis what I do.
(the odd time I upload a vid to Insta.)
