What makes you nostalgic?

I've been thinking about nostalgia a lot lately, and been going back to things that make me nostalgic.
I grew up in the period of silly bandz and the birth of youtube, so I've got a lot of rose-tinting for that era. Mostly getting nostalgia from the first Tree Fortress series from the Creatures (before Whoredan went and killed the life that was in the group and turned it into a soulless business).
So the question today: what makes you nostalgic?

That’s a good question. Sometimes things as simple as a warm, beautiful, sunny afternoon reminds me of when I used to go to the pool with my grandma or when I would play outside with the neighborhood kids after school.

Gaia can make me nostalgic for some of my best memories in the mid-late 2000’s. I would hang out with real life and internet friends in there. All of them have left Gaia since.

I love playing old Pokemon games <3

Some music just takes me back to a time or a place.

@Totalanimefan: Yeah certain weather can get me real nostalgic, brings me back to when I was little and lived in a small town where I could just take a walk to the park or the library to hang out with friends.
Old Monstercat music and Vocaloid music get me pretty nostalgic too, what kinda music makes you feel that way?

Scents. When I smell something that reminds me of what the house smelled like when I first moved in, it sends chills through me.
Thoughts. A swell of emotions run through me when I get a random thought of something I was once fond of.
Feelings. Feeling the same things that I did in the memories, bring them back to the forefront of my mind.
A sight and yada yada. Basically the senses can spring up nostalgia for me. Scents are the strongest though.

Weather and music also do well to bring on the nostalgia.

Everything makes me nostalgic, and I'm a huge sucker for it.
Childhood video games, childhood cartoons, childhood music. Sometimes looking at those old landline phones
with the clear plastic and all the colorful bits inside makes my eyes tear up lmfao

I'm a big 90's kid, and I also get big nostalgic feelings for the early 2000's.
Sometimes I even get nostalgic for the 80's? I wasn't even born then.

I get nostalgic over landline phones, old flip phones, VHS tapes and casettes.
THE SOUND OF DIAL-UP. The way Windows XP looked. PC games on hard discs.
The music from the Legend of Zelda. Oversized sweaters in primary colors. WINDBREAKERS.
Pokemon cards, Lisa Frank folders, snap bracelets. McDonalds Neopets toys.

I could probably go on forever lmao
