"I see." Jake replied.

"I won't ask." he told her, as they approached a set of doors.

"Here." he said.

"I'm gone." he said further.

"I want to be as far away from this as possible." he reasoned.

"Good luck." he finished, before he essentially hobbled away.

Everyone seemed to be drawn to the knocking on the door, before Ash turned to Hal.

"Unblock the door!" he told the djinn.

"NOW." he said further.

"....please?" he then added.

Hal just sighed and shook his head.

"Terrific..." he muttered, before he flicked his wrist, and the doors swung open.

"....you!" Cedric exclaimed when he saw who it was.

"....uh..." Ty muttered.

".....hm." Zeke mumbled.

"Because he's not worth it?" Ash suggested.

"Seriously. You plan to go down that road? Just for THAT thing?" he asked her, gesturing to Cedric.

"....heh." Cedric chuckled.

"It WOULD be fitting for you." he told Vicki.

"After all, you ARE a member of the cursed Fyranes."

"........" Ash was silent, before sighing.

"I... don't know." he said.

"I really don't." he muttered.

"Precisely." Cedric responded.

"In the end, it doesn't matter WHICH Fyrane goes berzerk." he said. "As long as one of you gives into the darkness in your heart, then it will all be all right." he reasoned.

"So... by all means. Do the deed." he told Vicki.

"Fulfil your birthright. Be who you are destined to be!"

Ash bit his lip as Vicki said what she did.

"But you don't need to do this!" he said.

"Let... let ME do it!" he insisted.

However, the look in her eyes made it clear that she was NOT going to let him do that.

"....Vicki, are you sure about this...?" he then asked.

"What's going to happen with Mom?"

Cedric just chuckled again.

"Listen to you." he said.

"Blithering on and on about how the 'power of friendship' will save everything." he said further.

"How you're being SOOOO noble with your sacrifice." he went on, shaking his head.

"If you're going to do it, DO IT!" he then commanded her.

While he was putting up a decent face and attitude, Ashley could tell one thing; he was scared right now.

".....shit." Ash cursed, as soon as Vicki did that.

"Just... fuck." he cursed further.

Cedric's body then went limp, but he remained standing, as his soul left his body.

Then, something came out of Vicki's body, and the two of them melded together, forming a single chain link.

".................and it is done." Ash said dejectedly.

"Vicki!" Ash exclaimed, as he rushed towards her.

As he did, though, Aedan and Sydney saw a dark portal appear out of thin air, and a cloaked figure with a scythe float out of it.

"Well, then." it said.

"You really went and did it." it muttered.

"Impressive. Idiotic, but impressive."

Ash looked ready to break down at that point, but managed to keep it together.

"I..." he stammered.

"Yeah." he said.

"Sure thing, Vicki." he told her, sighing heavily.

"Zip it, zombie." the figure then said to Aedan.

"YOU have no right to talk about such things."

"Death is death." the figure replied.

"And just shut up and let me my job." he told Aedan.

Ash then froze for a moment.

"Ah..." he stammered.

"No..." he whispered.

"I... I sensed the transfer..." he said quietly.
