I am around for a bit.
Okay I'm more around now that I'm home.
I'm about to finish the new season of The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina.
@Another Movie Addict: when I’m done with Roswell New Mexico I want to start Sabrina.
I saw season 1 and 2 already but I want to rewatch them before the new one

@Lina: Is very action packed.
@Another Movie Addict: I was pleasantly surprised by the whole show.
I really love the little bits of traditional lore they have in there.
I’ve read a lot about the witch trials, so it’s interesting to see those superstitions portrayed as if they were true all along. XD

@Lina: Oh yeah. They break that out more this season. Obviously a lot of it is very wrong, but it was still interesting to see how they'd mix Celtic beliefs with Heathens, and Helenistic traditions. It's a fun watch when you know your history. But I also like how they were respectful to Satanism in a way. Like they didn't say Father Blackwood was shit because he worshipped Satan, he was a dick because he's a dick.
@Another Movie Addict: I do believe a lot of modern satanist were offended by the show.
But they do make a point of saying this specific coven is traditional and out of touch with the new practices and stuff.
I imagined there were other covens more in line with modern satanic practices that just aren’t in the show.

@Lina: That's what I liked about it. That they were clear about how it was this specific coven. But obviously the show runners aren't brave enough to deviate to far from Christian beliefs.
@Another Movie Addict: I totally get that it’s taking place in America so they picked more American specific witch lore.
I’d love something with magic being real that’s about Native American beliefs, but it would probably be massively insulting.

@Lina: Well we get vaguely Santa Maria beliefs in the new season. They begin branching out into all the different kinds of pagan religions.
@Another Movie Addict: that’s really cool! I’d love more of that. Or spin offs!
@Lina: There is a lot more singing in this season too.
@Lina: The second season ends with Masquerade from Phantom of the Opera. o.o
@Another Movie Addict: oh yeah! OuO
I forget too easily. That’s why I’m rewatching.

@Lina: Lol my friend forgets things all the time too.
@Another Movie Addict: I have a terrible memory!
But I’ll watch it 3 or 4 times and then I’ll remember every moment. OuO
