@Francisco: Wow that's amazing. There is actually a house that looks like that about 3 blocks away from me. It's for sale. As for a favorite type I'm not too picky. I think more about what I don't like vs what I do. I don't really like Brutalist and I'm not a fan of American McMansions ^^;

@Totalanimefan: Oof, yeah, Brutalist is rough. Some, and only SOME McMansions pull it off, but most of the time their lack of coherence is just too jarring. I feel like it's a culmination of the all-too popular philosophy of "good enough". Like, no, your outlets on the bathroom ceiling are not "good enough". Get some taste people. oAo
@Francisco: Yeah it just reminds me of the 80's in like not a good way. (and the USSR haha)
I totally agree. But you know, you can't buy taste. -shakes head-
I do like the more recent trend where there is lots of glass and it lets in natural light. I don't remember what that one is called. (ex- https://www.newyorkpass.com/visiting-one-world-trade-center.html )
But I also love the look of an 1700-1800's brick building too!
@Totalanimefan: I also like the feel of like, refurbished warehouses and lofts and stuff. That's one of my dream houses.
Also tiny little cottages. Not tiny houses, but smaller ones.
@Francisco: Oh yes I love both of those too. What I wouldn't give to be able to live in a cute little cottage. I'm in a 1-bedroom condo right now that's not too bad. There isn't really anything special about it except that it ceilings are vaulted which is normally eehhh, but it's only in the living room and it makes the 715sqft not seem so small.
refurbished is so in right now. I wonder what we will think of it in 10 years?
