Forums General Chit-Chat Irma-Soon she'll be here
Don't know if there are others who are facing down this storm, but man has my area been preparing. Yesterday all surrounding stores have completely sold out of water, gas, MREs, foods that don't need a microwave or oven. Basically all the things you need for a massive storm to hit. Went to get my medication yesterday evening, and the store was cram packed full of people. Of course my family has been prepping too. Some folks are even talking about bugging out. Sadly my family cannot bug out like other people. We have no where to go, and a teeny tiny two sitter truck which can't hold all of us. So send me good vibes y'all.
Oh my goodness! Please try to stay safe. I'm not in the direct line of Irma as I live in PA, but I hear we will be getting a lot of rain from it.
My sister's friend got her a $400 plane ticket to Florida last month. She leaves on the 12th and I'm really worried about her. If Irma is anything like Harvey she could end up stranded there, or worse...
If this isn't your first hurricane you know what to do. It's just worse this time.
I'm from Florida and I've been through a ton of hurricanes. I'm living in California right now and I wish that I could be with my family through this.

This is definitely not my first hurricane, I'm native to Florida, but right now I live where the trees are a concern.

@Lily: Lol hello Lily
I just have to sit here and wait. The waiting is miserable.

My boyfriend lives in a lil suburb outside of Orlando, and I'm terrified for him. They have some non-perishables and water and everything ready if they need to evacuate. Still terrified.
sell me rigs please♥
@Another Movie Addict: So am I. Where in FL?
@Lily: I wish I could live in Jupiter. That town is so beautiful. One of the prettiest places on earth I would say.

@another movie addict: I'm sure you'll be alright. ^^
I lived in Florida for quite some time and have been through my share of hurricanes. It's a terrible time, to say the least, but the darkness will ultimately shed light.

This is not my first hurricane either. I was here for Charley and that was bad enough. All you can do is be prepared and stay safe.
That's one reason why I'm glad I don't move close to the ocean, but right now we are surrounded but fires and the air quality was issued red yesterday.
I really hope everyone affected by both hurricanes and the fires are all right :/ it's been one hell of an end to summer

@Lily: Yes it is, and great for fishing. I've gone fishing there many times.
@Another Movie Addict: Oh that's far up from where I was (Martin County). You guys should be fine up there.
