@Totalanimefan: Have you ever played Harvest Moon: Friends of Mineral Town? I suppose people have posted images of that game's oddness online. Tis extremely bad about it. The female version, More Friends, fixes the majority of the errors. It has some of its own, but nothing near the caliber of the male version.

@Totalanimefan: Tis bad, in a rather hilarious way. Having played the female counterpart first, I am able to navigate the oddness, but when a character suddenly speaks a different language, it is confusing.

@Totalanimefan: Direct? Nah I learned of Rune Factory after playing a lot of Harvest Moon on the GBA and looking around the internet for info about it and other games like it. I really would recommend having a go at 3, even if you go through it just once. You get to turn into a cute lil' sheep monster (I know it's not that strong a pull but still, it's something xD)

It really is impressive how everything in the games are so well-thought out! I recall all of the characters...well, most of those I can remember being very well-written and entertaining to interact with. The lore is also pretty fascinating...

@Little Crane: i do think they fix a lot more bugs when it's localized, too.
i know there's a ds game (just called harvest moon ds? and ds cute is the female version.)
but the "male" version which came first had quite a few bugs, even an infinite money glitch.
they were mostly fixed by the time the second "female" version came around.
it makes me wonder if the developers were crunched for time? poor guys.
(side note, now i really am eyeballing rf 4. i know i don't have the budget for it, but...)
