Do you BuJo?

I've debated on making this thread for awhile, and I'm still not sure how much attention or traction it will gain so for now it's just going to be something simple with a few saved posts that will later, hopefully, be home to resource and inspiration links.

For those of you who do BuJo, when did you start and what is your favorite part of it?

For those who don't BuJo, have you heard of bullet journaling or seen anyone else's online? Have you ever thought about starting one of your own?

The original idea for the bullet journal was created by Ryder Carroll, a man who was diagnosed with learning disabilities which led to him developing his own methods of staying focused and organized. You can read all about him and get an introduction to his quick, easy, and minimalist style here: bulletjournal.com

I made a book from scratch out of some spare cardstock and string I had lying around (it has removable/insertable pages, its pretty awesome if I do say so myself...) It was great for my productivity during the half-month I was jobless, but I can't seem to get back into it now that I have a place to be every other day. I loved how it gave me a non-specific creative outlet, and I could keep art or WHATEVER I wanted to in there. My favorite was my sleep and mood tracker. I even kept track of my migraines, had a fancy place to make and keep grocery lists... just everything fun celebrating me that I'm neglecting now that I'm employed. Which is silly because I have even more things I need to keep track of...
Come back, motivation, I needs you.

@Glume: Ooh! Made one yourself! That's even cooler than a regular old bujo!
Let us hunt for you motivation, because BuJo's are fun and helpful.
I'm trying out a mood tracker this month, myself.
Never done one before, so we'll see hot it goes.

@Amber Lynne: Artist's Loft dot grid journals. Michael's. $5 :vanora_sun:
It's the one I currently use, but really any journal ever is a good fit.
My first bujo was just a regular lined journal.

@Anarchist Beauty: I'll have to see if they have them here. I dunno.
I considered ordering one off of Amazon, too, but ehhh
I dunno if I wanna put $20 (give or take) out for one when I don't know if I'm going to stick with it. XD

@Amber Lynne: Yeah, I see those fancy expensive ones, too.
But I'm still like "eeehhhhhhhh $20 is steeeeeep"
So the $5 one was WAY more in my range. lol
BUT I have been sticking with my bujo for almost 2 years now, so maybe when this one runs out I'll see about spending the money on a pricier one.
See how it compares.

@TheGreatPretender: It's a self made planner.
You can find info on the original idea here.
You can also pretty much search google, pinterest, or instagram for "bullet journal" and find a bajillion great pages, spreads and layouts for any kind of specific page you could ever want or need for your own.

@TheGreatPretender: I'm not gonna lie, sometimes it can be a pain in the ass.
But really, you can make it as simple as you need/want.
My friend spread was as simple and minimalist as the Ryder Carroll one, but that bored me so I got more creative as time went on.
And I'm not even gonna admit how long I put into making my spread for this month. lol

@Amber Lynne: Haha, i wish you good luck in finding a book you like!
I think the Artist's Loft ones I mentioned were the cheapest ones I was able to find, but maybe you could find something even better. lol

@MoodyBats: OOOOOH MY GOD WASHI TAPE
MY GUY, MY DUDE, MY GOOD BITCH
I'M OBSESSED WITH THE STUFF
I have probably like 100 rolls of the crap right now and I just want more and more and more.
And I also want to start getting stamps and stuff.
Cos they would also make decorating my spreads easier and cuter.

@MoodyBats: Yeah, there's a lot of mine that has been untouched. XD
I think I have only used them for a washi tape swatch page in my bujo.
Other than that I can't convince myself to really use them because I'm weird and don't wanna "waste" it.
Even though I specifically get the stuff FOR the bujo.
