Forums General Chit-Chat 50 pieces of clothing

We\'ll carry on

Next Friday and Saturday there will be a clothing and toy fair nearby. You have to pay 3.50€ to bring your clothes, but they price and sell it for you.
You get to keep 75% of what they make and the rest goes to a charity.

You can bring 50 pieces of clothing.

I decided to go through my old clothes (I gained 20kg in the last year (I was way too skinny) and some if the clothes are very girly) and my mother’s old clothes and hoped I would make it to 50.

1 hour later:
Was it really 50 and not 150? Please tell me it was 150. I can do 150.

That sounds about right. My closet is a 50/50 split of dark things and cute things. XDD;;; I made a huge charity bag at one point.

....It barely fit in the car. x_x;;;;

@Kozi: my closet is 50% black, 50% “did you eat a few bags of skittles and threw up in your closet?”
I like my colours bright.

Whoa that clothing fair sounds really awesome actually, it's a good idea. I normally just drop off a whole bag of old clothes at a donation center. I cleaned out my closet recently of lots of super old clothes that I haven't worn in ages, and it was... kind of scary how many things I was able to pack in that closet...

My closet is devoid of all color except maybe some dark reds and greens. I can't bring myself to wear anything else.

@Hachi: we don't really have donation centres around here, just thrift shops

The donation center I'm thinking of is also a thrift shop, but they don't return any profits to you for giving them your clothes, haha.

@Hachi: they don’t do that here either. They use the profits for rent and such.

@Tuijp: We have a couple of them near me, but they're slow to get new stuff, so I don't go as often as i'd like to.

@Kozi: there is one about 3km away from my house and they have new things weekly. Another one, that is bigger, hardly ever gets new things.
