Levi was shocked to actually SEE someone now.

"I... uh..." he stammered, before he heard a male voice from behind him.

"Uh-oh." it said.

"Now you're SEEING things." it told him.

"Noooot a good sign, kid." it went on, causing him to begin to sweat profusely.

I don't think I can ever heal,
Ever replace that hole your death tore in me.

Her red hair seemed to shimmer and shiny in a light that wasn't there.

"Really?" She asked.

"You sure about that?" She added before shrugging.

"Then again, how can you know, really?" She asked. She didn't know how long she'd go with this, because she wasn't normally such a bitch.

Now Levi was looking REALLY concerned.

"Oh, relax." it told him.

"So you're seeing things. So what? Just enjoy the ride." it said.

"After all, she's bloody sexy, yeah? You'd really go for someone like her, yeah?" it asked further.

"I... uh, well... I mean... maybe..." Levi admitted.

"Well, you make any moves and your throat'll be slit faster than you can scream for help." the voice then said darkly, causing Levi to freeze in fear.

"Gregory!" The redhead snapped, her voice far sharper than Levi had ever heard, from anyone actually there.. or in his own head.

"Ignore him Levi." She then said.

"I've been watching you." She added honestly.

"Conduits need to be watched, lest things get.... outta hand."

That was something new. Why would she be calling him something that had to do with electricity?

Levi was even MORE scared for a moment, but it was replaced by confusion when she said her last bit.

"Awww..." the male voice mumbled.

"I was having fun..." he said.

"Wait." Levi then interjected.

"Conduit? What?" he asked.

"What does electricity have to do with anything?"

"Nothing." She stated.

"And you go have fun with that other conduit you like to play with." She told the male she'd adressed as Gregory earlier.

"Levi, you're a conduit." She told him after a few seconds before pausing.

"It's a mana term. You'd be more familiar with 'medium'." She added.

"Kiah gave you mana blockers, didn't she? She told you that's what they were. They helped, right?"

The male voice was now silent, allowing Levi to concentrate on the woman that was before him.

"....a medium?" he asked.

"Wait... like, those people that talk to the dead and stuff?" he asked further, before pausing.

"And yeah. Yeah, she did. They helped. Why?" he continued to ask, before shaking his head some.

"Wait, you know Doctor Fyrane?" he inquired... and then stopped.

"...I'm asking a lot of questions at once..." he said sheepishly.

"Sorry." he quietly apologized.

"That's exactly it, to an extent." She answered.

"And they helped because this whole this is caused by mana, your mana." She added.

"There's ton of information that I could give, but I'm probably not the best person for you to get it from. I'm not a conduit, I was a necromancer in life, and am now a reaper in death." She explained.

"Never... actually learned abotu the existence of those like you until after I died..." She paused a moment before shaking her head.

"Anyway! Yes I know Kiah... or knew her in life." She confirmed, "And don't worry about the questions. It's better to ask them and get an answer than wonder."

"Also, I will be back in a moment. I'm... going to see if I can get you some help. A way to get the information about what you are with less .... possibly incorrect iformation like you'd get from me."

Levi seemed to be completely overwhelmed now. But mostly an overload of things to take in. He was silent and spacey for a moment, before he shook his head lightly.

"Ah... yeah." he said.

"S-sure." he told her.

"You... you go do what you need to." he said further.

'Holy crap...' he thought.

'A REAPER? Wait, 'A' reaper? There's more than one?' he thought further, not even considering that being a conduit could be a two-way street in terms of thoughts and hearing them.

Madison just laughed.

"You know.... it's a two-way street with one such as me." She told him.

"Anyhow, back in a flash." She then said before vanishing before his eyes.

She appared back where she knew she'd be welcomed, as she always was, and walked through the door to his study, her mana and form coalescing into a physical form for her - or at least what looked to be a physical form.

"Vincent, darlin'," She started.

"Do you happen to have any books on Conduits?" She asked, her voice curious, after he'd looked up to meet her gaze.

"Oh, hello Madison." Vincent greeted her with a smile.

"And conduits?" he asked.

"I assume you mean the ones that hear the deceased?" he asked her.

When she nodded, he thought for a moment.

"Plenty." he said.

"What level of complexity and detail are we looking for?"

'Beginner." Madison answered.

"He has the bare base knowledge." She continued.

"So it's something that he needs to be properly informed about, because I know barely anything."

"Hmmmmmmm..." Vincent mumbled.

"I see..." he said.

"I MAY have just the thing." he told her.

"One second." he said further, before getting up and making his way to an area of his study/library that looked to be visited less, judging from a thin layer of dust on some of the fixtures. He searched for a moment, before returning to her, a book in his hands. He set it down, and she saw the title of it was Conduit Communications: The Basics

"This should do." Vincent told her.

"It simplifies things, but isn't condescending, and doesn't give misinformation, no does it leave out any crucial details or information." he said.

Madison just smiled.

"Not actually here, Vincent." She then said. "In about... three minutes, would you be willing to send ti to..." Sha pused before there were coordinates in the air.

"That place?" She asked.

"Because I can't get it there myself. I just gotta go give him a heads up for it."

Vincent raised an eyebrow, before shrugging.

"Sure." he replied.

"I can do that." he told her.

"Shouldn't be an issue at all." he said further.

"I'd do it myself, but... well... I'm swamped in paperwork, and it NEEDS to get done ASAP." he then went on. "I would put it off, but... can't." he sighed.

"But sure, I'll teleport the book there in 3 minutes."

"You'll hear a chime once I've given him a heads up." Madison said with a smile.

"Thank you Vincent." She added before blowing him a kiss, and vanishing fgrom where she was. It didn'tt ak long at all before he couldn't feel her mana, her presence, there any longer.

She walked through the door to Levi's room and just chuckled.

"Hey there." She said.

"Wanna clear this table?" She asked as she paused by the coffee table like thing in the room.

Levi looked at the table, and nodded.

"Yeah. Sure." he replied.

He then made his way over to the table, and cleared off all the paper and debris, separating the 'trash' from the 'keep'. It took about 45 seconds, and he then looked at Madison.

"Done." he told her.

"...now what?" he asked.

"There will be a book that will be appaearing on it." Madison told him.

"And it's a book from a close friend of mine. You'll want to read it, it'll have the best information that you can find pertaining to what a conduit is, what you are." She continued.

"It's something that you really should read. You'll need the information."

"Wait... appearing?" he asked her.

"Like... just out of thin air?" he asked further, before looking at the table again.

"....neat." he finished, continuing to look at it.

"Yep, that's mana." Madison said with a smile before there was what sounded like a chime. It echoed around them before it faded. Mere seconds later, there was a surge of mana, before a book formed on the table.

"Thanks Vincent." She said quietly before quietly as she looked to Levi.

"There's th ebook in question." She told him.

"Read it. It'll do you quite well to learn what you can within."
