That works.

But you mentioned that getting into the building you work and live at is a pain, due to tight security.

Is the recording going to be enough? Or is there some way we can work out a way so she can get past said security?

I don't know when she'll be there, exactly, so asking you to wait out for her isn't fair, but I also know that she's not going to be spending a whole lot of time in SD. It's kinda like a day trip/overnight thing.

The video recording works for me as far as YOU knowing who she is. But yeah, what about security and such?
he typed up and sent back.

Hah. That's easy.

Seriously.

Just tell the darlin' to tell the snakeboy that the fire gal is waiting for her. That should get her in pretty easily. And yes, I'll make sure to give him a heads up for that.
He could almost hear her light laugh after that.

All right then.

Thanks again for all this. I'll make sure she knows all the information, and has all she needs.
he then sent.

With that, he sighed, before picking up his cell phone.

"Should get this done sooner, rather than later." he mumbled to himself. He then scrolled through the... limited... contacts he had, before settling on one.

Hey, you busy? he sent.

Can we meet up soonish? I wanna ask you about something, and it's better if we discuss this face to face. he quickly sent after, before pausing, so she could respond.

He wasn't waiting long, definitely a shorter time than between the emails.

I'll be home in about half an hour. He received as a text.

We can talk then, k? quickly followed. Don't lock me out again! The last and final was more in jest than anything. He'd locked her out once in the past, and she liked to poke fun at hiom for it.

Levi was silent for a moment, before sighing heavily.

"Yeah, that was reeeeeeally stupid of me that one time." he mumbled.

K. was all he sent back.

He then went back to his studies, before pausing. He then looked off to his side, got up, and made his way to the door. He checked it, found that it was, in fact, locked, and then unlocked it.

"Don't need to do THAT again." he said.

With that, he went back to his desk, and started reviewing the material again.

After about half an hour, he heard the front door open.

"Yo! Where ya hidin'?" Her voice was easy to hear, and identify, but it was something that was always familiar for him. If anything, it was a welcome thing to hear. She helped ground him, after all.

"Hey!" he called back.

"At my desk!" he said, before sighing.

'All right.' he thought.

'Hopefully she'll be cool with this.' he thought further, before pushing away from his work.

"She should be." he then said to himself.

"...I hope."

She made her way into the room, her hair in dreads this time that were a mix of colours - mostly blues and purples. She stood out from a crowd, but that wasn't hard to guess.

She set her helmet on the desk as she approached and ruffled her hair.

"What's up?" She asked.

"You said you needed to talk to me about something. Everything ok?" She asked as she grabbed her helet, getting it off of his desk and out of his way, before leaning against the wall nearby.

"Well... yes, and no." Levi replied.

"I mean, the medication that I was given is still working, but it's starting not to." he told her.

He then sighed, before explaining the email exchange he'd just gone through.

"So... think it's doable?" he asked.

"I know you're going to San Diego in the next few days." he commented. "Can you pick up my meds?"

Allyssa was silent for a moment before shrugging.

"Yeah, sure. I'm heading there this week for that show anyway. It'll be nothing to stop and grab for ya." She answered with a soft smile.

"Is there anything I need to do or whatever for it?"

"Well, we just need the video on your phone to prove to her who you are." Levi replied.

"And tell the security guard what she told me, to let you in." he said.

"Beyond that... nothing, really." he went on.

"Except... apparently, expect some weird shit there." he then told her.

"Apparently... it's quite different, there."

Ally nodded.

"Duly noted." She said before pulling her phone out of her pocket and setting it up on his desk.

"There." She said.

"Allr giht...." She waited until he was good to go, then hit record before they did the expected thing, him granting her allowance to pick up what it was that he was asking her to grab, along with both of them stating their full names. After that was done, she made sure the video was saved and nodded.

"Awesome, done that." She said as she stuck her phone in her pocket again.

"And different? That sounds promising." She commented with a light laugh.

"Honestly, school is quite different from here. So I'm actually kinda eager to find out how it's different there."

"Well, here's hoping it lives up to your expectations." Levi responded.

"Beyond that... that's all." he said.

"Just wanted to get that out of the way, and sorted, and all that." he told her.

"Oh, and what about food?" he asked.

"You feel like cooking tonight?" he asked her.

"Otherwise, I have the money to order in from... well... anywhere." he added with a small shrug.

"I've got the chicken in the fridge defrosting already, Levi." Ally reminded him.

"Unless, you know, you don't want me to do up the fried chiciken again." She said, her voice almost nonchalant. She knew he normally was all over the idea of her doing it, so it was a question of whether or not he wanted it this time.

Levi blinked a few times, before smacking his forehead.

"Forgot!" he exclaimed.

"Right, guess that decision's made." he said.

"There anything I can do to help?" he asked her.

"Prep work? Making anything like sides? Or are you gonna handle everything?"

Ally just shook her head.

"Hell no. I'm not having you in the kitchen to learn how I do it." She stated with a laugh.

"I got this. Anyway, I'm gonna go get to work on dinner." She added with a smirk.

"If you need me, hollar." She then said before heading off.

"...one day I'll learn." he mumbled.

"You'll see." he said with a smirk.

He then went back to his studies, before sighing again, this one deeper.

"...quiet." he said to the whispering voices.

"Silence is golden, isn't it?" Levi then heard, without any sort of warning.

"Seriously. It's a godsend at the moment, as it has been for awhile now." The voice added with a light laugh.

"What is going through your head with the silence, anyhow?"

Levi immediately shot to attention.

"Uh!?" he exclaimed.

The voices had gone, but they were back... but as whispers. This wasn't a whisper. It was clear and crisp. He'd heard it, and there was no denying it.

"Who!? Who's there?" he asked.

"Who said that!?" he exclaimed, before sighing.

"Great, those pills are REALLY not working now..." he grumbled.

"ACtually, they are working quite well." He heard calmly from behind him. As he looked around, he saw a figure sitting on his bed.

"Don't worry, you're not insane, and I'm not a figment in your head." She then said before shrugging.

"Then again, you'd expect me to say that, huh?"
