I just love seeing those little red notifications pop up. They always make me feel so special.
The first forum based site I was ever on was Neopets and nothing will ever compare to the way I felt when those little orange envelopes popped up on the screen.
But I think the red numbers are getting pretty darned close!

@blinkini: I completely agree! They're like little notifications that remind me that people like chatting with me! I also really like that they aren't super imposing.

I'd like them more if I could clear them, lol, and if it were possible to make clicking to open them automatically mark them as read. It's harder to clear them on mobile.
I usually get them on mobile. I usually zoom in or click to the right side of the bar.
