"Beats me." She commented.

"It wasn't anything pleasant, and I get the feeling that I would be in an excruciatingly horrid position for quite awhile had you not helped me out. So thank you." She then said.

"Wait, slip? Fall? what happened?" Anya then asked.

Azazel sighed again.

"Well... hm." he muttered.

"Aedan... fell." he told her.

"Into... a chasm." he said.

"A chasm... filled with... something." he went on.

"I guess... one could say, that it was filled with the agony and sadness and anger of the souls in Hell. In physical form. Liquid, to be exact." he finished.

Anya shuddered lightly.

"Oh, fun." She commented.

"Yeah, makes sense that you were in such a state." She then said to her friend. Aedan just sighed.

"I get the feelin' that it'll be a good thing I don't sleep much." the zombie commented.

"Give it time." Azazel responded.

"I basically took the remaining... 'energy'... from your body that was tying those emotions there." he told her.

"They'll sink away shortly." he went on.

"Yeah... I should have picked up on that..." he muttered.

"Sorry..."

Aedan just shrugged.

"We were... kinda over our heads." She commented.

"Not an issue." She added before pausing a moment.

"So what's your deal now anyway?" She asked Azazel after a few seconds.

"Like what's going on with you? I ... don't know how much time I lost."

"A few days." Azazel replied.

"I'm living at the Unit until I find another place." he told her.

"And... Sharp wants me to meet someone." he said.

"Apparently I need to stop hiding what I am." he went on.

"Says they have someone that is perfect in helping me with that, whatever that means." he said further.

"I highly doubt they have someone that knows what it's like to be a DEMON."

Anya just smirked.

"Warning. If it's who I'm thinking of.... don't ever reach out to touch 'em." Aedan said.

"Beyond that, don't be so sure. All branches of the Unit h ave ... well, anything and everythging." She added.

"When are you going to meet with them?"

"Later today." Azazel replied.

"Sharp said he was going to contact me when they retur-" he said further, before his company phone buzzed.

He took it out of his pocket, checked his messages, and sighed.

"Welp. Guess I need to be headed back to the Unit now." he commented.

"He's saying the sooner I get there, the better." he said.

"And... don't touch them?" he asked Aedan.

Aedan nodded.

"Yeah. If it's who I'm thinking of, don't touch them. She..... won't react kindly to that." She told him before pausing.

"Or you could touch her and give her far more information than you care to ever admit to her." She added with a shrug.

"Your choice, really."

"I'll head back with you." Anya then said.

"I need to talk to Jake about something anyway."

".....uh.... right." Azazel muttered.

"Duly noted." he said.

"And... Jake?" he asked Anya.

"Wait..." he mumbled.

"Wait, is Jake the security guy at the front doors?" he asked.

Anya nodded.

"Yeah, that's him." She said.

"Him and I have a history." She then added with a light laugh.

"Re4gardless, yuou good to head out then?"

"Huh. All right." Azazel replied.

"Let me know if you still feel... off... later." he told Aedan.

"I'll see if I can help further." he said.

"And yeah, I'm okay to head out." he told Anya.

"I know Aedan's doing better, and that's all I need to know."

Aedan nodded.

"Yeah, will do." She said with a soft smile.

"Thanks Az." She added.

"Let's get out of here then. Shouldn't keep who you're meeting waiting." Anya said.

After driving back, Anya parted ways to speak with whom she said she was going to, leaving Azazel on his own to go talk to Sharp about who they were to meet up with.

When he made his way to Sharp's office, the two of them spoke for a moment, before Sharp smirked.

"Heh." he said.

"I'll send her in." he told Azazel.

He then pressed a button on his intercom, connecting to his secretary.

"Send her in."

There was silence before the door opened and in walked someone with chocolate brown hair, and gorgeous blue eyes.

"Hey." She said with a wave before noticing Azazel.

"I'm guessing this is who you want me to chat with?" She asked Sharp as she looked the demon up and down.

Azazel looked at the woman, and his eyes widened some.

'...wow...' he thought.

"Indeed." Sharp replied.

"I'm going to get some coffee." he told them.

"Why don't you introduce yourselves?" he suggested, before getting up and leaving them alone in the office.

She was silent for a moment before sighing and running a hand through her head, somehow managing to not catch the clips she had there.

"Name's Miki." She stated after Sharp had left, although she wasn't looking at Azazel when she said it. Instead, her gaze had followed Sharp to the door and out, before she just rolled her eyes.

"And Sharp told me you've got some accepting to do or whatever. I didn't get full details from him,a nd didn't want them. Figure it would be best to hear it from you.... although I've no idea why he came to me for this." she admitted as she made her way to a seat and sat down.

"I'm not a psych."

"......." he was silent, and then sighed.

"...I'm... Azazel." he said.

"And... yeah. Apparently." he told her.

"I hide what I am. From everyone I can." he said further.

"Because I'm a demon." he went on.

"A creature feared and/or loathed by all."

Miki just shrugged.

"Sure. If you want to believe that, you'll never fit in here." She stated.

"Look, I know what it's like. I know how it is to be the odd one out, or at least feel like you are." She then started.

"But at the same time, I can also seriously vouch for how accepting this place is of others, no matter what it is that you are. We've got gorgons here for cryin' out loud." she added with a laugh.

"I think that trumps a demon, sorry, but I do."
