"Please... before I lose all reason." Aedan then said, and he could hear how her voice was wavering, how she was on the brink of losing control. Zeke had been there once when she fell, and knew how horrible it really was.

"Because... I'm fucking close." She then said, not hanging up, and waiting to see what happened next.

"One second." Zeke replied.

About 5 seconds later, Aedan noticed a while circle form in front of her, glowing with a warm, celestial aura.

"Step inside." he told her.

"It'll take you right to the requisition desk in front of storage." he said.

"They'll be expecting you."

"I.... will in a minute." She said before the call was ended. She looked toward Azazel and whistled, loudly. She hoped that he'd be smart enough to book it to get there. After she was waiting for long enough that she literally could not hold her hands still, and he could see the stress on her face.

"Here. Take the keys." She stated.

"The GPS will lead you back to HQ. I ... fuck, I gotta go."

Azazel took the keys, and shied away.

"Just.... just go." he said.

"Hurry." he told her.

"That light... that circle... just... no." he said further.

"I can feel the destruction within." he told her.

"I'll follow the GPS. Just... just do whatever it is you need to."

Aedan didn't say anything, just nodded, and he could see the esge she was standing on.

"I'll see you in a few hours." was the last that she said before stepping into the ring, and vanishing mere moments later.

By the time that Azazel manaaged to reach the HQ, he hadn't seen Aedan. He was set up in the dorms for awhile, but hadn't seen Aedan for a couple days.

Eventually, there was knock on the door to his dorm.

Azazel just sighed as he heard the knock on the door.

He got out of bed, and made his way over towards it.

When he got to it, he froze for a moment, swearing he sensed a presence on the other side of the door that was... not pleasant.

However, he shook his head, grabbed the door handle, and pulled it open.

The one on the other side was pale, ad dark hair, looked like your usual goth girl in highschool.

"Hey, you Azazel?" She asked. "Or am I knocking on the wrong door?" She then asked. There was webbing around her pants, almost as if she had a sarong tied around her waist. Her arms were cross below her breasts, and she had a messenger bag over her shoulder as well.

Azazel's jaw dropped when he saw the woman.

"Ah... ah... ah...!" he exclaimed.

"AH!" he then yelled, as he backed up quickly.

"Please! I'm sorry!" he pleaded.

"Please don't take me!" he begged her, cowering in fear.

She quirked an eyebrow, not sure what it was that she was supposed to make of this.

"Uhhhhhh" She trailed off before shaking her head.

"Look, whatever issues you have with me, we've got a common issue. You met a certain friend of mine..." she trailed off slightly before sighing.

"She was fine through the psych testing, but the bitch is unbelievably good at hiding things. Regardless, she's not answering her phone, or her door." She told him.

"Sharp was saying that if anyone can help... you can."

Azazel froze for a moment when she said that.

"...wait, what?" he asked.

"Common issue? Friend of yours?" he asked further.

He then paused and thought about what she said.

"Hold on." he muttered.

"Is Aedan in trouble?" he asked her, his fear replaced with concern.

"That's the thing, I don't know." She responded with.

"She never goes this long without replying." She added, concern in her voice.

"Come on. The last place anyone knows her to be, is home."

"Right." Azazel said.

"Gimme a sec." he told her.

He threw on a jacket and put on some shoes, before grabbing a few things and making his way over towards her.

"All right." he said.

"I'm good." he told her.

"Let's go."

She nodded before heading off, knowing he'd follow. She was quiet as they walked through the halls for a moment before pausing as they reached the doors out.

"Do you have a car? Or shall we call a cab?" She asked.

"If only just because I don't have a ride myself."

"Technically, I don't have a vehicle." Azazel replied.

"But I have a loaner from the Unit until I can get papers processed and such." he told her.

"So we don't need to call a cab." he went on.

"Come on." he said, as he started to open the doors.

"...and sorry about my earlier reaction..." he apologized.

She just laughed lightly.

"No worries." She stated.

"You aren't the first to react like that with me." She then said.

"Also, name's Anya."

"I'm... Al-" he started to say, before pausing.

"Azazel." he corrected himself.

"And... I've actually met one such as yourself before." he told her.

"She... wasn't nice to me." he continued.

"She called me her 'eternal refilling meal'..." he went on.

"Until I managed to escape her clutches, anyway..." he then finished, trailing off a little.

"All right, a couple things I'd like to address about that." Anya started,

"One, I know your name. If you tried to hide it, well, I'd just correct you. I did ask if you were Azazel... and Sharp told me anyway. Said to look for Azazel and that you were the only one that could help." She stated with a shrug.

"And ..... another like me?" She asked, her voice curious.

"I... always thought I was alone, to be honest. But that begs another question... how the hell do you know?"

"Oh. Right." Azazel responded.

"Right, you did know my name." he muttered.

"And I know because you have a distinct... aura..." he told her.

"One detectable only to those like me." he continued. "Which is to say, demons of my general level." he clarified.

"But I ran into another like you down below..." he went on, shuddering slightly.

"Her kind of aura was... permanently burned and scarred into my mind."

Anya paused.

"Huh. You're a demon?" She asked.

"Cool." She added, seeming to be completely accepting of that fact, like it was commonplace.

"Anyway, that... really fucking sucks. If given the chance, I'll prove I'm not shitty like that." She then said. "Because... I'm not. Aedan probably wouldn't be a friend if I was, to be honest."

"I have no idea why I admitted I was a demon, there..." he muttered as they reached the car.

"But I know." he said.

"I don't sense an immense level of malice and cruelty coming from you." he told her.
