I can really see the appeal of a vegetarian/vegan lifestyle, I really do.
I visited a good friend of mine once for three weeks and she was vegan, so to cater to her choices for going vegan,
I did not eat any meat (or seafood) the entire time I was with her.
And while I already did eat a lot of veggies and fruits and nuts and grains...
going completely without meat or animal byproduct was very hard on my system.
At the end of the three weeks I was weak and anemic, I had lost almost 15 pounds that I couldn't afford to lose.
When I came back home the first thing I did was eat a hamburger and then proceeded to throw everything
back up because the red meat was such a shock to my system.
I have met a lot of people who feel incredible after switching to a vegetarian/vegan lifestyle but it just wasn't meant for me.
Now I will say that to this day I do stick to leaner meats, I rarely eat any red meat.
I prefer seafood over any sort of meat... and most of the time I am perfectly happy to eat
a bowl of salad or plate of roasted veggies than anything else.
But I am a sucker for cheese.
I am happy for you though that you are having such good progress with the switch!
