@Totalanimefan: Ugh, god that is me with German.
I don't study it enough..
I can recognize certain things but I swear if that Duolingo owl was sentient, he'd beat my ass. XD

@Anarchist Beauty: lol I wish that there was Duolingo for Japanese. I know they can't have every language, but everyone always says that it's a good tool for learning a language.

@Totalanimefan: They don't have it?
I thought that would have been one they did have, it seems like a popular language to learn.

@Anarchist Beauty: I know right? I would think that Japanese would be super popular. I guess they don't have anyone on their team that's good enough in Japanese? idk

@Totalanimefan: Who knows, maybe they're working on it?

@Anarchist Beauty: That would be really cool~ I would love that.
I'm actually texting someone in Japanese right now that doesn't know English. She always says my Japanese is good, but I wonder how many mistakes I've made or if I'm being too formal OTL

@Totalanimefan: I'm sure a friend wouldn't praise you if you were screwing up. lol

@Anarchist Beauty: It's a Japanese thing
But you are probably right. I just want to make sure I'm on the same level of formality with her.

@Totalanimefan: I don't think I've ever spoken to someone in another language.
I've barely mastered English and don't know enough of any other language. XD

@Anarchist Beauty: lol my English is shit. The only reason why I know it at all is because it's my native language, but when it comes to understanding English, I just can't Haha

@Totalanimefan: English is a horrible language. lol

@Anarchist Beauty: Yes! Not much in this language makes sense. There are a lot of rules that just end up getting broken, and strange spellings of words, etc

@Totalanimefan: Like the ever broken "i before e, except after c" garbage.

@Anarchist Beauty: Yes that is such garbage! It almost never works.

Most of the "rules" of English are garbage and dumb.

@Anarchist Beauty: Yup, yup, yup! When I was in school. I would great good grades, but in English class I would have like a D!

Voltie Posted 6 years ago ( 2018/02/14 22:16:14 )

@Totalanimefan: Yeah, my senior year of high school I failed my first semester of English and had to take a make-up class or risk not graduating.

@Anarchist Beauty: That's harsh. I was that way in middle school though. In high school is was talking about books, instead of learning English.
