I think it's clever to have the NPCs not only host the contests, but casually interact with the forum members. I know they're probably the writers who jump onto the NPC accounts and roleplay as that character, but it's unique and makes everything feel far more interactive. Makes the characters a little more human :p
Plus I'm low key in love with Velvet.

Aww, bless you guys. It's nice to have reassurance, so we're not sitting back freaking out over whether we butchered the event or not haha
You guys are doing a great job :) Honestly, it's the event that's snagged me, I think. You get invested. Join a contest, talk to members, find something in common. Then, even when the event's over with, there's still something to look forward to. It's all very well coordinated.
It helps that the art, avatars, and web design are all very charming. Plus the community seems invested- and I think that is a reflection of the staff. The staff cares, so the community cares. It's all very refreshing and I'm excited to be a part of it!
