Angela was silent for a moment before sighing, heavily, and meeting his gaze.

"........" She was silent for a moment.

"You know I wouldn't do this if it weren't for what you literally just said." She started, pausing a moment, giving him a chance to probably predict what it was that was coming.

"I wish that this was stopped, whatever it is." She continued, pausing a moment. "Or if you cannot stop it because it's outside of your capabilities... I wish for it and everything else to be contained within the property. All information, all beings, all everything, trapped here."

Her mind may have gone to using his skillset quickly, but she really hoped he could understand the reasonings.

"... whichever it is, I'm sure it will help." Angela commented.

"If nothing else, hopefully the server can be unplugged." She added.

"I need to fill out the paperwork regarding Jared." She then said before sighing again.

"So... I need go do that. If you need me, you know I'll be here. Very possible no one can leave, anyway."

Angela didn't say anything for a few seconds.

"... can you though?" She asked.

"He's not dead, still alive somehow, but... the damage is there. If he survives, he wouldn't be... well... himself. To put it very lightly." She told him honestly.

"Do you think you can actually DO anything about that? I know you have some pretty hard limits." She wasn't talking his preferences, either. She was talking about the rules he was forced to abide by.

Angela sighed lightly, seeming to be debating it as she looked away. After a few seconds, she met his gaze.

"... no harm in trying." She commented.

"You sure about this?" She asked. Hal merely nodded in response.

"I wish Jared would make a full recovery."

Angela was silent before sighing.

"Hoping is all we can do." She commented.

"I'll let you know what's going on with him, whenever I know something." She added. "But that's all I can promise."

The same woman that he spoke with before paused before pulling herself up from the floor, where she'd been working to unplug one of the computers.

"Well, these electric gloves are helping." She told him honestly.

"Working on trying to unplug everything." She added. "As are the others. We're spread out. Why?"

"If only just becayse of these gloves that help to prevent electrocution." She told him.

"To be honest, I'm not brave enough to try without them, though." She added with a light sigh.

It was Hollie that replied first.

That's... alarming. Take care of yourself. Let me know if you need me to get involved. Love you. Her text was simple, to the point, but he could tell there was a good amount of concern to it.

He didn't get a reply from Lunet though.

She was too engrossed in working on coding, with her music turned up, to have heard her phone.

Hal knew that it didn't matter. If he'd hadn't given that notice, no one would be able to leave anyway. Suffice to say, it wasn't something ideal, but there was nothing that could be done here. He was also entirely aware of how it was likely that he would need to explain to people as they discover that they can’t leave, if not before then. He had given that notice, after all.

”Dammit.” He muttered, obviously not happy about this, mere seconds before he heard a knock on his door.

”Enter!” He called, knowing that he had to field questions regardless of whether he wanted to or not. He didn’t know who it was that was knocking, but hoped it was someone that wasn’t going to have a huge issue over this. He really didn’t need another headache.

The one that entered had blonde hair and fair skin. Her unnaturally bright blue eyes found his quickly as she closed the door behind her. It wasn’t someone that he was completely against, she was likely going to be a bit more calm regarding this, as she almost never lost her temper.

”Yes, Gem?” He asked. She just sighed lightly as she approached his desk.

”Is there anything that I, as an alchemist, can help with?” She asked, her voice curious, concerned.

”Lockdowns are nigh on never good. If my alchemical skills can be useful, I’ll do whatever I am need to.”

Gem was silent as she listened to what it was that she was told. She wasn’t sure what it was that she could do right off the hop, but she knew that she was creative. She had to be, after all.

”Wait, hold on.” She said after a couple of seconds, meeting his gaze again as she’d looked away as she was thinking, ”legal doses of electricity?” She asked. Hal just nodded in response.

”Yeah, that would be a direct attack, most likely.” She agreed, but he could tell that she was trying to think of something about this. ”However, that sounds like if it is a computer virus, as it seems you believe the origin is, that it’s mana based.” She sighed, knowing that she’d just said something that wasn’t too useful. If anything, it was an obvious thing.

”Before you try and say that it’s a nobrainer, think about it though. If it’s mana based, I and Reveka may be able to create some sort of mix that can help bolster the electric mana resistances.” She added. ”I’m not entirely sure, but maybe? All we can do is try.” She hoped that would be enough to help, to give him at least a little bit of a piece of mind, but there really was no way that she could, ensure that.

”Beyond that though, is there anything else you know, or suspect about this?”
