When the word "chips" is interchangeable with both french fries, and crisps like
If someone says chips here i legit need to ask "like fries, chips, or crisps, chips" it always kills me like. WHICH ONE IS IT

people sometimes use chips here, like my grandma calls fries that sometimes. and it's used when talking about fish and chips or like we have a food trust here called the Chip Truck, etc etc but most people say fries
usually if you say 'chips' here everyone's brain goes to the tasty snack, and nobody uses the word crisps
so its all just like, using context clues

Also the trout thing just reminded me about a computer lesson we had in middle school where our teacher took us to a website about tree octopuses and she asked us stuff about it and then she was like "its fake, fake websites exist, dont trust anything on the internet with only one source" CJCCJFJ

@Dipper: Ahh. Yeah, the passport thing sucks. Not being able to freely travel sucks. And S. Africa - gotcha. We have friends who came here from there. Interesting place, as I understand it (which is limited, admittedly)
