yeah understandable... I really enjoy other people's fanart a lot but I always feel like mine just comes out flat and boring? plus I get nervous people gunna see it and be like "this hack, this fraud, he knows nothing of this series" which... is irrational but thats how my brain works, like an idiot HAHA

One of the advice pieces I watched on growing your art presence is to do fanart, but only do what you want. It's a good way to get noticed, but you have to intersperse it with your own content or you'll just have a bunch of folks that follow you for a fandom and not you

yeah that's always been my other concern like... disappointing people who showed up for my fanart and disappointed when 80% of my content is my own characters they dont care about HAHA

I think my big problem is everything I like enough to potentially make fanart for is super niche or doesn't have a strong following, or the following is dead so rip ;'3c
