Jaden nodded as well.

"I understand." he told her.

"I'll head home, then." he said.

"You know my buzzer number."

"Now go on. I'll take care of Desiree." She added.

It was about two hours later when Jaden heard the buzzer.

Jaden looked to the comm system and made his way over, pressing the button.

"Kalin?" he said.

"Yep." was the response.

"You know where I am." he told her, pressing the button to let them in. He then hung up and waited for the knock on the door.

Sure enough, it came a couple of minutes later, and he opened the door.

"Allo." he greeted them.

Kalin waved.

"Hey there." She said.

"All right, I'm out." She then said.

"If either of you need anything, let me know. You both have my number." She inished. Desiree nodded.

"We do." She agreed.

"Cool. So I'm out." Kalin said with wave before heading off, leaving Desiree and Jaden alone. The form, looking a bit uneasy, but not entirely distrusting.

She made her way in when he beckoned her to, before looking around.

". . . . I feel like I'm in a mansion or something..." she muttered.

"See ya!" Jaden called to Kalin, shutting the door when Desiree entered.

And chuckling a little.

"Well, a mansion of an apartment." he said.

"I've never been one to own my own place, so I rent." he told her.

"I also like privacy, so I go for where I'll be hard to reach." he then laughed.

"Anyway!" he then said.

"Shall I show you to your room?" he asked.

Desiree jumped when Jaden said what he did.

"eh-heh... I ... didn't expect you to hear that" She admitted.

"But... All right." She then said.

"Lead the way."

Jaden just chuckled.

"I have good hearing." he said.

"Anyway, come on." he told her.

With that, he led her to a room, and when she stepped inside, she found it was quite sizeable. Enough to have a queen-sized bed in it, with plenty of room to move around. Which was impressive, given that there was a dresser, a small desk, a chair, and an endtable in the room as well.

She also noticed the door for the closet.

"Hope it's to your liking." he said to her.

"Lemme know if anything needs to be changed or altered.

"Not at all. Thank you." She said simply before biting the inside of her cheek. She was uneasy about this, and it wasnt' ahrd to tell.

"You ... barely know me. Why are you so willing to go out of the way way like this?"

Jaden just sighed, and shrugged.

"Because you don't deserve to be scared all the time." he told her.

"I just want to help." he continued.

"You're doing too much with your life for this to happen." he then reasoned with a smile.

"...." he was then silent, and shook his head.

"Don't look so deep into it." he said.

"I promise you can trust me."

Desiree nodded, but didn't say anything.

"I..." She started before looking around.

". . . do you have a bath or shower here?" She asked, wanting to know which was available. She realised one of the two, at least, was, but was curious which.

"Because.... I should probably clean up." She added. "I still have some of the everything in my hair."

"Ah!" Jaden replied.

"Both." he told her.

"Come on, I'll show you to the bathroom." he said.

Desiree set her stuff down, and they walked down a short hallway, with Jaden stopping at a closet.

"Towels and such." he said.

"Bathroom's that door right there." he told her, gesturing to the door closest to them.

"Check and see if you need anything, or if there's something there that isn't." he continued.

When Desiree did step inside the bathroom, she found it to be quite spacious and luxurious... with a L-O-T of hair products about.

". . . what's with all the hair care stuff?" She asked as she looked back to Jaden, her voice and face curious.

"Do you care that much about it all?" She asked./

"Ah..." he stammered.

"I, uh... he said.

"Forgot all those were in there..." he admitted.

"I do." he told her.

"It's... just hair?" She followed up with as she approached the mirror and took a look at herself, wanting to see if she had any visible bruises or not. She did see how disasterous she looked, though.

"Also, I ... look a mess. Wow."

"JUST hair!?" he exclaimed, before clearing his throat and calming down.

"Well... I don't think that way." he said.

"That's a relative term." he told her.

"Yes a mess. You saw earlier. I'm usually much cleaner than this... and my hair almost looks to have a rat ness styled knotting starting. So that's fun." She commented with a sigh.

"But thank you. Even if I really am a mess for the moment."

"Piffle and FEH!" Jaden exclaimed.

"But anyway." he said.

"Here." he told her, handing her a large towel for her body, a smaller one for her hair, and a large terrycloth robe.

"Do you want me to wash your clothes?" he asked.

"The ones you're wearing right now, that is." he clarified.

"If so, just close the door and toss them out into the hallway before taking a shower. I'll get them started for you." he told her.

"And feel free to use whatever products you want in there." he continued.

"Hair driers and such are in one of the drawers." he finished.

"That... would be fantastic. Thank you." Desiree answered with a nod.

"Now clear out so I can strip and clean up?" She asked. Jaden nodded and took his leave, allowing Desiree to strip down and sigh. She looked at her torso before pausing and grabbing her phone off of the counter.

Hey Rene. Bandages around my torso. Rules regarding water?

A few seconds later, she received a response.

Go ahead and keep 'em on. it said.

It's made of special materials. It resists water, so it won't get soaked or anything, and will allow water to slip under. the next read.

However, they still need to be changed, regularly. a following one quickly added.

But it more than adequately answered her question.

Good to know, Thanks. Desiree sent in response before starting to fill the tub. She wanted a nice relaxing bath, after the attack earlier, she just needed something to relax, to chill,a nd to wash away all of that.

She took the earbuds out of her ears, set them on the counter before stepping into the jacuzzi that he had and just letting the heat from it soak in.

"... I needed this." She said quietly before turning off the taps once it was full enough.
