What do you think about virtual pet games and also do you play some of them in a free time? I play a couple of them, they are all browser games.
(˵◕ ᴥ ◕˵)ノ Hello there
I dont play pure pet site games its usually combined with avatar games.

I think pet games are too time consuming. > o> I’ve played furvilla and dappervolk.

since quarantine I've gotten really into pet games. I currently play a lot of subeta and dappervolk!
I love pet games! I play a lot of SA2 which has chao gardens and I spend hours raising chaos. Its so much fun and I love my babies

Some virtual pet games can be really cute. It's been a long while since I played one though. As I have so many real pets I don't want to have to remember a virtual one.

i was obsessed with the idea of virtual pets during lockdown so i was playing them non stop. I stopped playing them during the end of quarantine tho and i just got back to them again. I play dappervolk, flight rising, ovipets, furry paws and eliyo. I used to play marapets but then i didn't really got into the art style very well and i got bored with the levelling up thing and i thought the pets graphic were quite bland and all so i stop playing. But my fave is dappervolk and flight rising, dappervolk because i love the art style so much and flight rising because i like the idea of different types of dragons and how you can breed them to make some interesting offsprings.
I'm big into pet sites ... There's an interesting overlap between them and forum sites like this one.
I've logged into Flight Rising basically every day for 9 years now -- never once lost my well-fed bonus. Right now I'm also on Goatlings, Mycena Cave, and Pixel Cats' End, though I'm mostly just checking in for a couple dailies. I also just started playing Lorwolf yesterday, the first day of its essential launch. It's pretty good!
Oh, and I log into Chickensmoothie every so often to get the pets and check the "Other Websites" forum for new pet sites coming up.
I used to play Dappervolk but I got fed up with the staff's poor game design and community management. It had so much potential -- the art is GORGEOUS -- and they turned in into a miserable grind ... I check back every now and then to see if the housing feature ever releases, and that's actually where I heard of Voltra.
Other ones I've played in the past but am not currently active on include, let's see ... Xanje, Lioden, Wolvden, Novilar (I think this one is dead), Figment.pet, Tattered World, Neopets (my entire adolescence), Sylestia, Pokefarm Q, Dragon Cave, Magistream ... There have to be more but I can't think of any more.

I use dragoncave, flight rising, and rescreatu.
I used to be totally into virtual pet games like Dragoncave and Neopets but havent been on in years except for logging onto Neopets to see how its going.
I am currently into Tamagotchis as I found my childhood one and I bought the Uni recently. There's a pretty good Tamagotchi community as well which is super nice and we all hype each other up ✺◟(^∇^)◞✺

I started playing Neopets again during the pandemic. I was surprise my account was still around, since I thought I gave it away to someone. It's nice for nostalgic reasons, but I want to give me account to one of my little cousins, since I feel it is educational

You may have given it away but they may not have changed the password haha. It would be nice to keep the account alive, it would have a bit of history.
The badges you get for how many years you've had the account for is such an honor. ( ˘͈ ᵕ ˘͈♡)

Oh yoo, no one's mentioned subeta! It's one of the oldies and gives me old neopets vibes, it has avatars which is amazing and I'm having a good time just collecting plushies and zapping my pet (for free cos its rad)
As a huge virtual pets player, I know quite enough!
Here's what I've been playing so far, and maybe a few mentions of games I used to play but left due to closure or not interested or just something else that caused a lot of players to leave.
Currently Active on...
Neopets - The longest and biggest virtual pet game that exists and one that I've never lost interest in. I lost my original account years ago and I also lost my other old account in the recent past years too because I forgot the password that I no longer remember. So after getting a password manager, I don't have to worry about losing my accounts anymore.
Aywas - Another long-running game I've been playing, though this one is not as frequented because there's other games that interest me more than this one. I'm still glad it updates some stuff, but I do hope it gets a bigger update on making some things in there easier.
Dappervolk - A game that I've recently joined and usually visit for the dailies. While the aesthetic and theme isn't my kind of thing, I do love the pets and the NPCs you can form a bond with to get some great prizes! That, and the people in here is super nice nowadays, so that's a plus for me!
Xanje - One of my favorite and most played pet games to this day! This is probably the only pet game where you can collect as many pets as you can, and in hundreds of different patterns or variations. Trust me that you will rarely get two of the same color combo!
Adopt Me - This one is from Roblox, and it's a virtual pet game where you hatch pets from eggs or egg-adjacent items and raise them to their full stage. You can fuse four of the same pet to make them neon, then fuse four neon versions of the same pet to make them a mega neon pet! There's more, such as making a family, buying and decorating your own home, and participate in fun activities.
Horse Life - Another Roblox game where you take care and collect horses. Not just your normal horses, though. There's unicorns, biorses, saurequines, and much, much more horse-adjacent species you can add to your team of horses!
EggCave - It's a cute game where you collect eggs and raise them slowly with clicks and visits from other people. I do like to visit this game during events, because that's where you get to click and feed for prizes! I don't have as much pets as the others who frequent the site, but I love to keep a small list for the others who are on a tight schedule.
DragonCave - A game similar to EggCave where you collect eggs and raise them with clicks and visits to grow them into dragons. I visit during holiday related events in hopes to collect the event-only dragons that appear fora limited time.
Pony Island - The virtual pet game, and NOT the horror game. It's the one that caught my attention because of the MLP-looking ponies you can collect and take care of and participate in events. While this game is mostly exclusive for paying members, free players can still raise and collect their ponies and participate in races. I don't play this game often because of it's limitations, I do visit it from time to time to collect money and items. Oh also the ponies you raise in the game can perish if you don't take care of them. That's one of the downsides, for me at least.

And now here's the games I used to play but don't due to loss of interest or because it got shut down, or because of something that happened.
Marapets - A game that's inspired by Neopets that started out as a guild of some sorts. As of this year I don't play Marapets other than the reason because I have too much stuff to do, and that there's way too much stuff in there to do, which I don't mind but like...life makes you busy. I do wish to revisit the game someday!
Goatlings - A cute game where you collect cute goats known as goatlings. You could participate in events, play games, trade, and train them for battle! Unfortunately it shut down due to several issues that happened throughout the recent years. I won't list them down here because it's quite a lot, and there's places that explain the issues better than I ever could. Thankfully there's people who are able to make a goatlings-inspired game, and while it's a WIP, I hope to see the polished version in a few years!
Santae - An amazing game that's unfortunately had most of its userbase gone because of some things the creator did. It's upsetting to hear because the game had so much potential and I love how progressive and unique the game is, with the pets, the NPCs, and I love the avatar building feature as well. It's a shame that I've lost some good friends there, but wherever they are, I wish them the best. The site is still up, but there's not as many people playing on there this year.
