My head is better now. Our sink/washing area at work is like partially under the stairs, so there’s a wall that slopes to the ground and I was kneeling to put something down and when I stood up I smacked my head into the sloped wall :’ )

I’ve not been up to much new. Just trying to take it easy till work picks up again in the fall.

@Totalanimefan: I got the job through welfare. I have been looking for other jobs. But most are still low paying jobs. Everything that pays well you need god knows how many years work experience.

@xvz: just 3 days. it was like a weekend get away during the week lol. we just walked around, shopped, ate good food. We gambled a little bit but mostly it was walking and hotel hopping. you can walk in and out of the hotels to gamble and/or shop.

The bigger hotels have retail shops inside.

@neon: i had ritz cheese cracker bites. i usually don't eat breakfast in the morning because i literally roll out of bed and only have time to brush and floss my teeth, shower, and dress myself before work.

we had the little bites at home so I grabbed the bag and ate them.

@xvz: That's good! When I had Rona I was at home, but I have flown with the flu before and it was straight up awful. Never want to do that again. It was a 6 hour flight too lol
My weekend was good. I unpacked a lot but also got to enjoy hanging with a friend and feeling the beginnings of summer.

@Kory: Thank you so much <3 I wasn't feeling that confident about it. How are you doing? ^^

@DreamerZ: I hope that it goes well. How long is the recovery period?

@Bonnie: I've seen pics of $6 and $7 a gal online in the Bay Area. And the crappy part is that you have to drive when you live there. There is either no public transportation or very little. VTA which is south bay's transit is actually rated worst in the nation lol.
SF proper does have some good(ish?) public transportation. I've tried it but most of the time I was just drive into SF and I'm pro-transit.
In DC here I'm car-free and I love it.

@vengeance: I do love any system where you can IM. I just like other services better, but I am on it and I do use it.
Oh I see. Maybe since you will have 3 years experience after the contract is over, you will have the experience to get something else. Do they also have resume (CV) builders/writers? Someone that could help you update or write your CV and then you could get maybe a better job?

@Lilykin: Oh yeah it's Wednesday. I hope you survive lol. If you have any more mental energy left, come and join us. No pressure though.

@neon: I had a banana but I want to have bread pudding. I made some last night. It's not too sweet since I used a baguette.

@Totalanimefan: i do hear good things about DC and public transport. i kinda want to maybe possibly live somewhere car free....but i love my car lol.

but riding the little bus that takes you down the strip in vegas was nice when it's too hot to walk. and i mean the strip is too long to walk period but people do all of the time.

@Bonnie: It's cool that you like your car. I did love my 2017 Prius, but it was totaled in an accident. (My husband and I are ok though)
It's pretty cool to be able to take the metro and then you see the people stuck in traffic XD
Plus sometimes it's faster than a car cause of traffic, but sometimes a car is faster. Like to get to DCA (an airport) it's much faster to take the metro that has a stop at that airport.

Yeah I am pro bus when it's too hot to walk. XD

@Totalanimefan: yeah i can imagine how that would be kind of crazy to watch the cars stuck in traffic while you just breezing on through. i would be kind of nervous to have my luggage with me but i mean i guess it would just be to make sure you don't have too many bags lol

@Bonnie: On the metro in DC you don't have to worry about it because that's pretty common. The metro stops at two airports and an Amtrak station. I see people with luggage all the time and they are left alone. Can't speak about other transit systems.

@Totalanimefan: I hate living with my housemate, though we get on ok it’s just me wanting privacy, but I love living away from family. Tho I am pretty far away, in an area I don’t really know all that well. I am looking forward to getting my own place hopefully closer to my mum. My current house is an hour and a half away on the bus. Kind of a drag.
