@Vixen: I did - I took up gardening! I'd like to see what I can do with this semi-tropical area (instead of trying (and failing) to grow more 'traditional' veggies, etc.), so I have two baby banana trees, and I just planted some lettuce and mescalun this morning, and I'm hoping to grow some cassava, and passionfruit, and dragonfruit... I have some lemongrass that is waiting for us to prepare it's area but is ready to be transplanted...

@Vixen: everything is really small right now - I'm just starting! The banana trees should get maybe 15' high... passionfruit is a viney creeper, so I need to figure out some kind of support or trellis system for that. Dragonfruit is basically a cactus - that should be fun... and maybe once I get a few things established, I'll try growing magoes or papaya or something, since they also seem to like the Florida climate...

@icedchai: Oh yeah - I get you on that! We've had a couple cold fronts come through Florida the last couple of weeks and it has been a really nice change of pace to be able to put on long pants!! XD I'm glad you're enjoying the "chill"!!
