"I do." he responded as he approached.

"You don't know me, and I've been ordering you around, and I refuse to give you information about who I am." he went on.

"For all YOU know, I could be trying to warp this into my favour to take over the world or something." he continued.

"But I assure you, I am here to stop her from dying, and to stop the creation of that nexus." he promised, as he got close enough.

With that, he was close enough, and added some of his own mana to what she needed. And as he did, she saw an eerie familiarity to it. A rare one, at that. One that raised even MORE questions.

Kiah didn't commented on what she saw, what she could literally sense, before finishing up what she was doing. She then sighed before making her way over to Jordan, just as the mana in the room started to grow again. The stranger could feel Kiah's rune starting to overtake the room as she administered what they'd concocted.

There was a pulse of mana, and a large one that that. It was enough that everyone within about a dozen meters of the room felt it, felt numb, and had a complete unawareness of everything for about three seconds. And then senses returned and everything went crashing down.

Jordan dropped, but Kiah was right there and managed to catch her. The mana in the area seemed to stabilise again, the rune was gone... overall, it initially looked very good.

For the moment, at least. She hoped it wasn't a thing that was just right then before problems surfaced.

It was at that point, the two of them felt... weak. Not in the physical way, but they could sense something was amiss... inside them. And the stranger seemed to know what was happening.

"Ah damn, I feared this would happen." he said.

He then sighed, and looked at Kiah, making his way over and offering his arms to hold Jordan up.

"Try and create something." he told her.

"That rune, fire, whatever." he went on.

"I need to see the immediate repercussions of what we did."

Sure enough, Kiah did as she was beckoned - she let the stranger take Jordan, and tried to conjure flames in her hands. It wasn't something that was impossible... but it was certainly difficult.

Far more difficult than expected.

".... Spill." was all she said. "Because as you saw, I did manage to, but holy hell that took way more effort than expected, than it should have."

He just sighed.

"The nexus was farther along than I'd anticipated." he muttered.

"Well, there's a bit of blowback... or I suppose a bit of 'payment', when a nexus formation is stopped." he told her. "In the form of the ones who did it's manas being sealed away." he went on.

"Temporarily!" he quickly assured her.

"If I were to wager a guess, our mana will be completely sealed off from active use within an hour, and will stay that way for... a few days to a week." he continued.

"A week at MOST, mind." he quickly stressed.

Kiah was completely silent, not entirely sure what to make of that, but he could definitely feel the ire.

".... Then let's just get these two set up somewhere that we know they will be all right." She stated before making her way to the phone on the wall and calling Hal.

"Might I make use of you for a quick transport?" She asked

The male sighed and made his way over to Ilias. He set Jordan down fully, before slinging the gorgon-kin over his shoulder, and picking Jordan up in his arms again. It seemed he was stronger than he looked... but this seemed to be his carry limit.

"Sorry." he apologised.

Meanwhile, Hal just sighed.

"Very well." he responded.

"I assume you mean to the medical wing, but... go right ahead." he told her.

"I wish for Jordan and Ilias to be set up in the medwing where they can be taken care of." Kiah confirmed with a nod.

"I'll give you the information about it all once I have it fully." She then said. "I think they'll be all right, just... want them there to make sure. I sure as hell can't get them there, either." She added.

"So thank you."

"Very well." Hal responded, before she heard a snap.

The stranger then saw Jordan and Ilias disappear from his grasp, before chuckling lightly.

"May want to use him for yourself." he told Kiah.

"Odds are your energy boost isn't going to last much longer, and you're going to CRASH." he said further.

"If you want, I can give Agent Sharp the info I'm sure he requires." he then offered.

"I should see him, anyway."

"I'll talk to you later, and yes, I will give you the information I can. I need to make sure I have the information first." Kiah said before they ended their call. She hung up and just looked to the newcomer, crossing her arms.

"All right then. Firstly, I'd ask what are you, but I'm not stupid." She started.

"So I'll ask this - who are you?" She asked

He was silent for another moment, before sighing quietly.

"My name is Lucius." he told her.

"And... I'm... well, I'm someone that desperately needed to come here and help stop a massive tragedy from occurring." he said further.

"The fact that we stopped the formation of that nexus, means we saved the future." he continued.

"The world." he went on.

"...and yes, I AM a time traveler." he finished, shaking his head slightly.

".... of course." was all she said.

"But all right, lucious." She then said.

"How far into the future ARE you from?" She asked. "As in, how desperately should I make sure these notes are lost to time?"

Lucius was silent for a moment, looking at the notes.

"Eh." he shrugged.

"The compounds within Jordan will assimilate into her and do their work, before dissipating soon enough." he continued.

"But this information is... well, it'll be discovered decently soon." he went on.

"So to answer your question... about half a century." he answered her factually.

"Give or take." he said.

"This information will be discovered in about 60 years or so... but... too little, too late." he lamented, pain in his tone.

"All right, so not too bad if I knew it now." Kiah commented.

"Now... you say that your name is Lucius, but that really doesn't tell me much at all, Luci." She continued after a second or two.

"Why did you want to come to help Jordan? What the hell would have happened in the future that was so bad?"

Lucius flinched a bit when Kiah referred to him as 'Luci', but shrugged it off with a slight growl.

"I don't know how much I can say without jeopardizing my own existence." he told her.

"..." he was then silent, before looking at a calendar and doing some quick math in his head.

"I guess it might be fine..." he mumbled.

"But to answer your question about what would have happened... uh... well... to make a VERY long and sordid story short... Jordan dies, the nexus is formed, Sebastien doesn't take it well, at all, and he ends up bringing about Ragnarok, essentially."

Kiah was silent as Luci said what he did. She wasn't entirely sure what to make of it, but also wasnt super worried about it. He'd done what he'd said he would, as far as she could tell, so she wasn't convinced he was a threat. Not yet, at least.

"All right... Why do you care? Is it just a case of there being the end of the world hat you care for, or do you actually care about Jordan?" She asked. She had a million question, but she was trying to keep it all at least slightly on the level.

"Well... I won't lie." Lucius muttered, sighing heavily.

"It's a lot from column A, but some from column B as well." he told her.

"I mean, a nexus being formed from a person is sadly... something that just happens." he continued. "It's... to a degree, necessary, but nothing bad will happen from the halted formation of THIS one." he assured her. "Yes, tests were run, simulations were run, and we're 99% sure that the halting of this nexus will have no ill effects going forward." he said.

"...at the very least, should be better than the alternative." he then muttered.

"But, I came back to save the world. The fact that by doing so, I help a dear friend, is why it's ME doing it, and not anyone else, really." he added.

"Maybe it's selfish, but I wanted to be the one to make sure Darryl doesn't lose his best friend to the throes of despair and insanity." he went on.

"I care about Jordan in the sense that I value her life and her existence, but I don't think I can say I knew her well enough to genuinely care on a deep level for her." he admitted to Kiah.

"All right then." She said after a few seconds.

"Next question.... Who are you? Who is your family?" She asked.

"I guess I owe you that much." he said.

"...allow me to formally introduce myself." he told her.

"Lucius Sharp." he continued, after a pause.

"...and it's not too hard to extrapolate from there who my family is."

"Well... That explains the eyes." She commented.

"And blonde hair.... Hollie your mom?" She asked. When he nodded, she just chuckled.

"So, I'm meeting my cousin from the future. That's a new event."
