@ghost: Coming from personal experience, I can tell you without a doubt that there are definitely people who DO NOT like it when Admin or anyone else messes with their avatars - even on April Fool's Day, and even on a temporary basis.

I remember being on deviantart way back in the day and everyone losing their MINDS because their icons got temp changed, like "I worked SO HARD on my avatar how DARE you do this to me-" like damn chill it came back after HAHA? and then they did it again next year and nobody learned anything and same reaction...
so yeah man people take it serious... (and I get it but I also can't relate)
@Starlight: Personally, I think it's great fun too, but again, I know for a fact that not everyone appreciates it or shares that sense of humor.

time to ruin everything...OKAY AS A GRAPHIC DESIGNER, HERE'S MY CONTROVERSIAL OPINION ON COMIC SANS:
the hate for it is overblown. yeah it's a bad funny font and it shouldn't be used in most situations, not even for comics (especially not for comics)
but it also has it's place.... like children LOVE comic sans, so stuff like lil school newsletters and stuff that only they and parents are going to see? there's legit no harm in using it and people who get snotty over it like, really need to pick their battles HAHA
ALSO it's actually a REALLY good font for people with dyslexia! o: so it actually does have a practical use, fun fact (I mean there's other fonts out there that are good too but hey, its easily available and works)
