ah i see yeah it's way too hot for me to go outside currently lolol at least not while they sun's out , it would be not as pleasant if you couldn't take cool down breaks from the outside
i miss summer activitiessssss lol

plant nursery sounds so nice ^^ hard not to leave w a new baby or two lol

i wish i had access to a hiking trail or something! but can't really get to Real Nature wo a car here

you can mute it lol basically it's a video of a hermit crab changing shells and it pulls its pet anemones onto its new shell hehe it's super cute imo !! <3

i can understand if most of your life you aren't used to these kinds of interfaces and if you miss the train of using tech intuitively it can feel like it has left the station / too late for you / not worth it to try

hmm the consensus around here seems to be that being outside (going for a walk, going to park etc) is totally fine if you're masked/being reasonably cautious
a lot of my coworkers were encouraging me to go for walks more often, i think the mental health benefit outweighs the relatively minimal risk (since you're not really interacting w anyone either)
i mean i'm just like if there was a month of mass protests and the precautions were sufficient to keep cases down - anything i feel ok with doing (as a cautious person) should be totally fine

do you feel like you can't walk around that area anymore?

that makes sense - like some you might have to cater to them more vs. expecting them to cater to you

i agree i think it's super sweet the way humans bond w pets! i wonder if other animals in nature have pets hehe<3

that's good! honestly i really had to readjust my lifestyle to being home constantly ...
i'm a homebody to begin w but i think most ppl in nyc spend a good portion of time enjoying the city, seeing friends, going to events etc
it was kind of weird adjusting but i think i've settled into something that works for me now :0

some of my friends have been learning asl this year! i think hearing loss is pretty common and some of my friends are deaf in one ear
i wanna learn at some point, both for better communicating and also bc the gestures look v graceful to me
