I have such conflicting views about children. On one hand, I can't stand them. They're like ignorant little asshole parasites who care for nothing more than themselves. They can be so cruel sometimes. But then, my softer side kicks in, as well as my mothering instincts. I remember how they don't know any better; I remember their profound capacity for love and an understanding for which we don't give them credit. I think about nurturing this little human, and teaching them about the world, and then setting them loose and watching them make their way through the universe. To create an entirely new human being, essentially from scratch--once again, something which ignites rather polarised feelings within me.

Eventually I'm sure I'll be popping out a kid. Hopefully not too many cause my family seems to be hella fertile. c':

I DO NOT miss the humidity life. Not at all. No more heavy, soggy, frizzy hair.

However, I now live the life of regularly burning myself on objects outside and roasting in my car. I too am anticipating the cooler weather season, and can't wait to actually be cold and need to wear jeans / a hoodie again. c':

Eh, fine, I'll nibble. Have a six-month-old selfie 'cause I can't do that kind of thing without feeling vain af. Hair looks dry and terrible but whatevs. c':

@toxxic: Awwww yiss
Name: Vii
Base: Two
Pose: Seven
Facial Expression: Five
Ref:
Other: If you could include the tails and horns that would be amazing, and I'd be willing to pay extra to compensate; if not, it's cool and I totally understand! Here's a version without the collar and sleeves so you can better see her top. For the bottoms, she's pretty much just wearing a black bikini bottom. c': If you need any other refs obviously just let me know! ^-^

@Burial: I know, right! I'm so excited! I can't wait to go pick it up tomorrow! Though, I realised I probably won't get to play much as I'm sure there will already be a bunch of crap to download. It'll at least take twenty minutes installing probably..aaand who knows what I'll have to delete to make room this time. c': I really need an external hard drive.

I hope the servers hold up, too, but one or two hiccups are almost always inevitable when launching something on this scale. Something I didn't even think about, or realise, either, is that Xur apparently made his last visit to the tower? So I wonder if he'll ever appear again?

For some reason I'm scared that Destiny will "turn off" once D2 comes online, too. xD

@chai: Alright, I think I've decided who I want art of oTL...Though I can't remember, do you draw Gaian avis? o: If so, would you be willing to draw this one? cB

@toxxic: Question, will you do Gaian avatars? o:

@User: I have the same difficulty! My drawings / paintings always end up flat or washed-out because I'm so afraid to use too much colour and make things look muddy / unnatural. I've always been kind of poor with colours and values, actually. A lot of it is my own hang ups, I just need to let it all go and let myself do my thing but for some reason my brain is too much of a jerk. c': I think you're definitely on the right track, your shadows look good!

Not sure if it would help with pixeling, but, light studies are a useful tool for exercising your shading skill. It's basically drawing from a reference, but instead of focusing on details like features, you focus on blocks of value, and differentiating them from one another. c:

@Shamrock Shamus: I know, right? I get that way when I get hungry, too. And kids have lightning fast metabolisms. That's a growing little meat sack right there, and he needs to eat! Honestly it was them giving him the candy that had us all rolling our eyes, as I'm pretty sure she had already given him one when they first walked in. (And of course he didn't finish his breakfast lol). In the end we all get tables like that but thankfully, there are always the polar opposites that make up for it--the really easy, gracious folk who are patient and tip really well off simple orders. I was tipped $40 by a man in the bar who just had some drinks, because I asked my boss if he could bring his dog into the bar (it was late, we were near closing, it was a cute lil doggo).

And honestly, it's the parents that shy me away from wanting to be a teacher. I could handle the kids (I'd probably aim for HS) being assholes, thinking they're smarter than me, pulling stunts, etc. etc but I couldn't handle getting chewed out by idiot parents on the weekly for doing my job. c':
@Prodigy: Mine is always a little butt when it comes to grocery shopping too. It's like I have no make every decision and choose every item. c': I'd like to say it's a guy thing but, idk, my dad really enjoys grocery shopping and is good at it. xD

Awesome pixels! ^-^ You do a great job! I'm not a pixel artist at all so I can't really offer any advice or input that you don't already know. Doing them in greyscale is already conveniently ideal, as it's easier to define values and block out your shadows without having to mix colours as well; so just keep on exercising your "depth perception", so to speak. 10/10 would buy pixel art made by you ~

@Queen Prisma: I know lol Voltra has such a cute little economy right now, it'll be interesting to see how things grow and develop over the next few months. And I definitely wouldn't blame you either for taking a break -- I know I would! Eventually, I'm going to open up a digital art / profile shop, probably just one slot for each, but I have a lot of projects owed as well which I need to finish first. c': What's your username over on Saph, btw?

I can't wait for the Sewers to open up, looks like it'll be a scavenging-type of game which I really love. ^-^
@Prodigy: Ooo, grocery shopping, fun! I love food stock-up time! xD

Thank you! That's probably what I'll do, I sort of want a little pixel thing for my signature. o: But chai's art is so nice too, I sort of want some OC art from them. q-q Decisions, decisions.

@Queen Prisma: Yep, seen that first hand. It's like a status symbol to get art from certain artists over there. xD Meanwhile plenty of other peoples' threads get buried because everyone wants super-HQ digital drawings or super-detailed pixel art. Some of it I suppose is just how long some people have been there, and become spoiled by the amazing art styles found on Gaia. c':

Getting burnt out is no fun though. Such a drained and exhausted feeling. "WILL I EVER PICK UP A PENCIL AGAIN!?!?" lol
