No. I was gonna check out some digital sales and see if I could find some good deals for my parents' Christmas presents, but I finally got bullied into getting my Macbook battery serviced / repaired and that's eating a pretty penny out of my pocket, so I'm on team can't-spend-anything until I get paid Friday.

hi, please ignore/lock if this is a repeat, or doesn't belong here, but i couldn't find a thread similar to this??

in this thread, either equipped or as a screengrab, show me your favorite voltra avatars you've made.

this one isn't the most color coherent but i like trying to make all the event items fit together!! there's definitely a few i had to exclude, but i'm pretty proud of the work i did especially being a newer player?

It's throwing a 404 error when I try to start today's chapter : anyone else experiencing this?

EDIT: from the landing page clicking on the image-- the link in this thread works!

@Totalanimefan: i'm an hourly 35-40!
about two or three times a semester i'm on call, which goes from like 5pm to 8am-ish, and is just me carrying around a phone that our campus safety dispatch can call me on to ask me to take care of different things -- so like, (in a normal year) they call and tell me a student has gone to the hospital, i go to the hospital to check in, make sure they're ok, and help get in touch with parents (due to COVID i just get in touch with the students unless something is super wrong); called to respond to & coordinate responses to things like carbon monoxide alarms and authorizing use of emergency rooms if students are displaced due to building issues, etc. -- there's some potential for overtime there, but they're pretty good about letting me flex my time in case something wild happens

@Totalanimefan: pretty busy lol. i came into this role at the tail end of july! i trained for about two weeks and then we brought the student staff in to train for a few days (heavily shortened because of COVID) and move students in.
we move the majority of them back out next weekend, with about 80 (out of 1800) staying until early december to complete finals while on campus, mostly because either they're international students and due to COVID or other restrictions can't go home, or can go they can go home, but not until after online finals are over because of technology access.
i enjoy working with college students a lot, though i'm looking forward to when i can stop being part of an on call rotation lol.

@Totalanimefan: No, haha. I'm a live-on professional staff member for the university. I live in an apartment built into a hall so that I can be part of the 24/7 on-call response & do support programming for the students, and my 9-5 part of the job includes doing roommate mediation, supporting students when we get reports of mental health, family, personal, etc. concerns, and doing some campus community work with the Counseling Center, as well as other day-to-day tasks.

Basically, I'm like a house mom, or like an RA but already graduated.

@Totalanimefan: ehh, sort of? there's not a ton of local delivery, but instacart and doordash do things from the two larger cities near us, with a few local places peppered in.

@Amber Lynne: it's really fun! i appreciate that you can go back and do previous days, as that's always been a sore spot on other sites.

@MoodyB: thank you! i haven't seen it in a long time, but knew i had seen it -somewhere-

@Totalanimefan: I'm definitely not used to not being in walking distance of things, or otherwise not having great bus access. There is, I recently found out, a bus that goes around the county, but it's like a call on demand thing which I'm never organized enough to do. If I lived on the other end of this campus, I could walk to like a CVS and stuff (the grocery store if I was really dedicated), but I live on the north end, on top of a huge hill, and so it doesn't end well trying to walk into the village lol
