@Neko: It mostly just takes a lot of practice! I did a faceup comparison a little while ago comparing my faceups throughout the year and holy cow it's crazy to see how much my work has changed!

@Neko: Yeah, pastels last forever. I still have my same pastels as I bought when I first started the hobby! I buy sealant pretty often, as well as watercolor pencils and sometimes paint, but usually I get the small bottles so they don't dry out or separate so quickly.

@Neko: I have a collection of my own and then I do commissions to paint other people's dolls. ^^ I've bought a few to paint/customize and then sell in the past but most of my hobby income comes from faceup commissions. The materials can be really expensive, but luckily they last FOREVER so you can buy them once and then just replenish stuff here and there.

@Neko: Yep! I've been doing them since I started collecting. :D It's one of my favorite parts of the doll hobby. Right now I think I have like 10 commissions to work on but they're all so much fun, so I don't really mind.

@Lady Luna: Yeah, she flips between looking badass/chill to super cute really easily. Her sculpt is pretty versatile. ^^ I have dolls of all different sizes so I love seeing how different they can be!

@Neko: Oh that's smart! I haven't even thought about updating all that stuff. ><

@Lady Luna: Thanks! :D Yeah, she's my girl that I can practically dress in anything and have her look good. xD Everyone else has a pretty set style.

@Lady Luna: I've been collecting since 2012 so I've slowly built up my collection. ^^ It helps that I do the painting/faceups too, though, since it helps give me doll funds with commissions. ><

@Lady Luna: I'm mostly going for Doll North since I'm a BJD collector, but my husband's into anime and video games with me too so we cosplay together and whatnot. ^^ It should be a lot of fun!

@Lady Luna: My husband and I are going to Anime North in Toronto. It will be our second big con so we're super excited. ^^

@Lady Luna: Yeah, no bad labor! I'm just a web designer so the hardest labor I've had to do is typing fast. ;) But yeah, I'm looking forward to the overtime check since it will help with our trip to Canada in May.

I hope you feel better soon! I haven't had the flu in years but it always sucks. Plus this year is supposed to be one of the worst seasons for the flu in a while. ><
