I had a good time, tho I was dozing a bit when I came back on the train

Food service is pretty hell too
I like the quaint little coffee shops that they have out here in Portland & I give those people kudos for owning those independent coffee shops
I work at Starbucks & I'll tell you from being there & working for a corporation vs being in this quaint little coffee shop there is def a major difference
But yeah! - food service does suck
+ its like tip these people over here (Starbucks) but don't tip these people over there (McDonalds)

This is a PWYW shop
I'm just glad to be able to go on Voltra more, be more active, draw more/post more/improve more on my art & busy myself more

A piece takes me maybe anywhere from 2 - 4 weeks to finish (depending on the complexity & details + life ya know?)
I usually tend to draw 4 or 5 days out of the week

@Laufeia: Definetally a weird, stressful yet interesting to start the day
I was pretty stressed for a bit, but my partner helped me calm down
I also still had time to kill before heading to work
So I laid down with my partner & they held me until I had to get up to shower & get ready for work
(I work day shift while they work graveyard nightshift)

Showered (a little longer than I usually do) & ate something, then headed down to work
Yeah food service does that, tho every place does things differently
But good to know that he gets a free drink and a cookie ouo
does he also get a free sub ? (I'm also hoping its unlimited free soda?)

@Laufeia: But yeah! An interesting way to start the day
I'm okay & the cop I talked to was very nice & understanding
I literally said
"My parents are fucked, screwed me up really badly - they are irredeemable & no one in my family can see or accept how bad they really are so I want nothing to do with them so this is my fresh clean slate"

I'm currently omw back to my house via the bus
I'm super exhausted duuuuuude
Today was an... interesting way to start the day

So I dont get along with my parents at all & this year my partner & I decided to cut ties with them & just have a clean slate
So what do my parents do after I practically made it clear that I wasn't going to be talking to them ever again? they ended up putting a welfare check thing out on me - basically - a cop came to my door seeing if I was okay

So there I am
Half asleep
Hair a mess
Half stoned & a little hungover from the night before & now I have to talk to this cop who just gives me cocked eyebrow look
I literally had to tell him that I just woke up & I'm half asleep / a little hungover from the night before so to excuse my current appearance ; v. ;

Also YES
I will end up being transferred the last week of December or the 1st 2 weeks in January
Our store has 100% turnover rate which means no one stays at the location & they all either get other jobs elsewhere or transfere to a different location

With your boss tho that really does suck! There's nothing you can do about that, plus you're pregnant & you're a little more susceptible to getting sick (esp if it's cold outside)
